The introduction of Airbus 319's with Volotea was announced over 6 weeks ago.

It'll be a shame to lose the 717 in Europe ( Blue One has already flown their last ) but I suppose the A319 leasing rates are so cheap now, under $100k per month in some cases.

And it's a much more common airframe for maintenance, crew hiring etc.

Does anyone have any information on when Volotea will start reducing their 717 numbers?? Seems they are only increasing the size of their A319 fleet but no reduction in the other?

Thinking it might help on knowing if/when one can except the 'upgrade to A319' may happen eith the recent job adverts...

2 B717 leaving the fleet during 2017.

Some of the B717 are on long-term lease from Boeing.
