Only two immigration staff, one for non EU one for EU, long cue!
Well 10 DME ARC sounds like you should of [sic] stayed in Dubai for Christmas, you cannot blame DTVA for your flight predicaments and how many people can really be in a cue from a Fokker 70.
Although perhaps a little brash, N707ZS raised some valid points, the only thing DTVA can really be blamed for is the lengthy cue at immigration, and even then there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation.
Sounds like you were all snookered!

Cue:

1. A long, thin wooden pole with a small piece of leather at one end, used for hitting the ball in games such as billiards or snooker

2. A thing said or done that serves as a signal to an actor or other performer to enter or to begin their speech or performance.
"She had not yet been given her cue to come out on to the stage."

3."He looked at his watch and Sylvie knew it was a cue for her to leave"

Queue:

A line or sequence of people or vehicles awaiting their turn to be attended to or to proceed.

Simples!

Balls?

This hole(whole)thread has me snookered...I know I shouldn't call the "pot black" but some of these threads are either in or off subject?

Think we should all take rest, get a cushion out and count the spiders on the table...

Beafer, the proposed wind farm site isn't in Bishop Auckland..

"The organisation is supporting proposals for the Windy Bank wind farm, which would be located to the north of Woodland village."

My new ruler says thats 20.9 miles away from DTV.

Guess we are both wrong

Any DTV traffic above Woodland is going to be in direct conflict with NCL app and dep 99% of the time, so (even if DTV's radar extends that way) there's already plenty of confusing radar returns. Are you suggesting that Peel should request payment from NCL ?

There is absolutely nothing to link Peel/DTV to this application, so why try to do so, (whilst demonstrating poor geographical and airway knowledge) ?

DTV Airport facing legal action

Durham Tees Valley Airport facing legal action over turbine plan (From The Northern Echo)

"A FIRM behind a green scheme to power Middlesbrough FC's stadium is set to launch a multi-million pound legal action against Durham Tees Valley Airport (DTVA).

Planners have ruled that Empowering Wind's 136m-high turbine at the Riverside Stadium would not affect passenger safety.

The North Yorkshire-based developer said it was delighted Middlesbrough Council has finally agreed to remove a condition from its 2008 planning permission for the venture - for which DTVA asked the firm to pay it £700,000 before it would lift its objection to the scheme.

It is understood aviation minister and Whitby MP Robert Goodwill will question DTVA over its claims in the light of the advice from the CAA.

Mr Goodwill has previously demanded answers from DTVA over its agreement to drop safety-related objections to wind turbine schemes near Richmond, following a £10,000 deal with the developer.

A DTVA spokesman said: "We are awaiting a letter from Middlesbrough Council, which will explain the rationale behind this decision.
"We have no further comment to make at this stage."

Is it just me or are them accounts not too bad all things considered? Certainly better than a lot of other airports around the country.

Legal claim may be £2.8m for lost revenue.

Its good to have cash in hand but the legal bill may be over £2.8m for the lost revenue according to the Gazette news.

Work starts next month.

Regarding the latest DTV director. Listings show that it might be this chap who has a few directorships. http://www.endole.co.uk/profile/1328...-henry-cranney
Wonder what he brings to the aviation table?

No one talks on here any-more as there are to many ready to throw sticks at anything positive. And there are those that lurk in the shadows and take any opportunity to steal from our table at any cost.

Happy new year.

Bah Humbug

cheer up n707zs.

Problem is our table hasn't got much positive on it..yet!! When it does we will shout loud and clear.

I agree we predominately hear from the doubters...but it will get better..honestly!!
