Nothing much to it provided you booked one ticket and not two separate ones. Baggage and immigration done in DUB all you have to do in ATL is follow signs for flight connections.

You will clear immigration at Dublin.....you then arrive as a domestic flight. You reclaim your luggage...hop through customs and then either recheck,or if you have a booked connecting flight your bags will be checked on by an airline rep.

D'oh...just read the post above.

Be warned that there if there is no pre-clearance on the return journey (you don't say where your beyond destination is) you will have to go through immigration / customs at ATL which can be time consuming. There is a DL check in after federal clearance in Concourse E. There should be a published Minimum Connection Time & you should be OK if it is a through booking.

Anyone ending their journey at ATL - don't forget your walking boots! Although, I was stupid enough to walk from Pier D to domestic baggage claim.

Spotty.....I normally stuff my liquids into the hold baggage after customs and before it is swept away to the remainder of the domestic flight. It has made it ....so far
