More competition on the Tel Aviv route from London. Norwegian 3 weekly from next summer out of Gatwick.
I understand Rev Michael Banfield was treated to a ride in a Tiger Moth recently to mark his retirement.
When was the last DH-82 movement prior to this then? I recall Redcoat causing damage to a parked example in the late 1970s.
Good luck in your retirement Michael and I have been told you are moving down my way?

Wizz air Ukraine
It seems that Donetsk will be stoping from 11th November 2013. Does anyone have the numbers on the route maybe this is why it got cancelled on Sunday
Ukraine is a poor country. It's not in the EU. There is already a LTN-Kiev link (capital city). Lviv failed a couple of years ago.
Probably not a major surprise to lose Donetsk.

Any idea how long the Flydubai stays for? A few weeks I suppose..
Besides FEDEX and the odd Easyjet in the Monarch hangars who else do they work on at Luton? I remember a few years back the likes of Continental & Air Seychelles.. and one time as a child I would bet my life there was an Avianca 757 or 767 in it.

Jdcg - much as I agree that Lviv is very attractive to visit (I even asked a woman out for a hot date there) I think the Donetsk base is aimed at people in Donetsk travelling to/from western Europe rather than Brits visiting Donetsk on holiday. Donetsk has 1m people or 2m in the metro area and with relatively low incomes - certainly enough residents to attract an airline that survived its first few years based on migrant labour
