I agree Timmy... not the best news for LinksAir. Negative publicity is sadly a problem and the added news that only one passenger was on board creates the impression that the service is not well used or popular. Hopefully they will recover quickly and the incident will be forgotten. But it is blow for a new endeavour.

I believe the Belfast figures showed an increase of something like 18% in July on June so the route seems to have been steadily catching on. It would be a shame if this incident were to scupper a brave and potentially succesful venture. Iwould expect a drop in August anyway ... school holidays, end of August ... to be honest Friday night might be busy on other routes, I wouldn't expect it to be at this time of year on this route.

A guy on A.net did a trip report on the previous flight to the one which the incident happened on and said that it was full, so it seems their loads are inconsistent more than anything.

Is their a link to the trip report, can't find it on A.Net.
Flew with them about three weeks ago, nice outfit, crew very good, J31 not bad little aircraft. Shame theirs no plans to build an updated version. 14 pax going out to belfast 12 coming back.
Hope all this does'nt do lasting damage, though 2nd undercarridge problem for Links and the J31

Sorry rob39 I should have made it clearer, it can be found in the Irish Aviation thread in the civil section of the forums.

2 crew?

All reports I've read have stated there were 2 crew and 1 pax. Surely a minimum of 3 crew is required? (2 flight deck & 1 cabin)

TimmyW Like I said, Links being newcomers to DSA, and obviously operating a tight ship financially, its hard to see how their services will survive this incident, especially considering their other aircrafts are used elsewhere.
Well Timmy best you get a new sauce to eat with your humble pie. And seeing as you find things hard to see a trip to Specsavers may be helpful. Fortunately they have a local branch Specsavers Opticians Doncaster | Specsavers UK

Thankfully not everyone is as shortsighted or ignorant of how airlines and airports work as yourself.

LNQ206 just departed DSA (G-LNKS) Small carrier they may be but they're pulling out all the stops to keep the show on the road (our route in the air)

Well done!

No, the aircraft is operating under JAR-OPS 1 in the EU. Section 1.990 refers

19 seats and under, no galley cat required.

Flew with them on G-GAVA a few weeks ago. Very pleasant flight, around half full (not bad for a Wednesday morning DSA-BHD flight).

I wouldn't be popping the corks for Links Air yet - Lada Air have picked-up the 4xx services for City Wing, in the absence of a Links Air backfill, which will be a fair chunk of revenue lost to Links.

Lada Air or Air Lada?

What aircraft type are they using?

Sorry for the thread creep - not really Doncaster news.

Isn't Air Lada the company who owned the metro IIIs which were leased to flightline. The then Manx2 used Air Lada metros, who with Flightline agreed to the operation of the two Metro IIIs under Flightline's Air Operator's Certificate???
One of the Metros was sadly involved in the cork incident??

Sorry, my error - brain skipped. It is of course Van Air Europe that are covering the Links contract with the L410. Not Lada.

Links have cut back from 2 x daily for Belfast to 1 per day. Their loads had increased to 70% as well for August.
Todays flight was cancelled as well. Doesn't look good.

Well at 2019hrs on 2 Oct I tried to book a random date in Nov and another in Dec and there are 2 flights a day (Mon-Fri), none on Sat and one on Sun - just like the timetable (effective 23 Jun 14).

Timmy W and Links Air

Doesn't look good.
You said something similar in May (08/05), June (23/06) and August (16/08) - got tomorrow's Lottery numbers?

None of the Links flights have operated this week. Apparently they are having problems with aircraft numbers since the one that crash landed is out of operation.

On another thread, many others seem to share my opinion that DSA won't see the decade out.
