I can't really see BEE willing to have their route running the risk of being disrupted due to the aircraft going out to BRU first, ATC/Wx delays or going tech etc. when that isn't even their own route! I'd be surprised at it being done on a single aircraft.

Perhaps BEE have still to announce further flying for the aircraft?

Looking at the flight details etc, the NCL-STN becomes a Loganair flight operated by BMiR (sister companies) sold via the Flybe franchise so I doubt BE themselves have any view about the operational risk.

BRS-FRA is 3 x daily and BRS-MUC 2 x daily (both less at weekends) with ERJ-145s and LH code share, so there appears to be no inherent reason why NCL could not be served in similar fashion.

Maybe or tweek the current schedule. The ER4 could operate the existing SOU route, freeing up a DH4. Posted this as a possible tweek to the schedule on Newcastle thread:

BE6xxx NCL 07:00 SOU 08:15
BE6xxx SOU 08:50 NCL 10:05

BE6881 NCL 11:00 STN 12:15
BE6882 STN 12:45 NCL 14:00

BE6xxx NCL 14:45 SOU 16:00
BE6xxx SOU 16:30 NCL 17:45

BE6xxx NCL 18:15 SOU 19:30
BE6xxx SOU 20:00 NCL 21:15

Guess we will just have to wait and see what BM decide to do

AIL have today announced that they plan to relocate it's engineering operations from ABZ to it's hangar space at BRS. The current BM hangar will be taken over by it's AIL partner Loganair

About 80 Aberdeen-based jobs are under threat at airline bmi regional after its owner announced plans to switch engineering facilities to Bristol.
Can we stop playing "Fantasy Airline Manager" now, please?

Flying BM HAM-BRS this evening, and I see they're having a difficult day operationally, with quite a few delays, some of which are stretching to multiple hours, and a few cancellations. I'd say that's unusual, but I noticed Friday's BRS-CDG was over 2 hours late getting out too.

Wonder how long before we in ABZ say ta-ta to all bmir ops in Aberdeen.

I doubt (maybe BRS route excepted) they see much of a future in operating up here, esp given the oil slump which looks like is here to stay.

I expect the ABZ-BRS and the ABZ-EBJ will be here to stay... NWI/OSL seems to struggle.

Let's be honest the less successful ones could easily be passed to Loganair now

BMIR packing up ABZ

Looks like they are cutting fixed costs? How long now until they completely pull out of Scotland? With so many changes over the past six years stability is what we need at this airline. Bristol... all eggs in one basket?

Nordic Aviation Group, the new Estonian travel company which hopes to be given an AOC and is chartering flights from Adria to almost exactly replicate Estonian Air's schedule makes mention in its press releases of using BMI Regional aircraft to fill some of the schedule.

Anyone know what routes bmir will be flying that were formerly part of Estonian's network ?

This Nordic Aviation group should be seen as Estonian Air 2.0. Estonian Air was leasing from BMI and in essence, all that happened was that another company took over that lease.

Over the last few months, the single ERJ145 that was there was flying routes as needed by load factor I think. I've seen them do the Amsterdam flight, a lot of Oslo, some Brussels I believe and maybe even Arlanda once or twice.

Tonight I know at least one of the two BMI aircraft currently in Tallinn (I think it's G-RJXB & C) was flying to Brussels as Adria 7177. That's the Estonian Air flight number with a 7 in front to keep things easy for Estonian 2.0 .
