Problem is that noon time flights for EADS make little sense. All those TLS services from other airports are timed to allow day-returns for employees after spending time at EADS Toulouse. So either the daily flight is so well paid that the airline can be relaxed about utilization or it will have to find other, more leisue-oriented routes from TLS to keep the aircraft busy during the day.

Just a idea but another option to could have been to use the aircraft to operate the BHX service . That would free the BHX based aircraft up to operate to another destination.

BHX

Just what I was thinking BALaddy. This would then free up the aircraft in the morning which could see the LYS service retimed to an early departure (at the moment it leaves just 80 minutes after the suddenly kneejerk announced BE BHX-LYS) and then a new destination. I would have thought BHX-TLS to be a more leisure oriented route that would better fit with middle of the day timings?

Will bmi regional open a base or make a nightstop with the aircraft in BRE?

I am thinking about a reactivation of BRS-BRE - offered by (the old) OLT just a few years ago. Theoretically, the following route might be possible: BRS-BRE-TLS-XX-TLS-BRE-BRS.

Or the aircraft could fly f. e. to Bristol Friday night and on Sunday to Bremen...

Realistic or rubbish?

As per "The Cleaners" item above.

New routes from Bristol from Hanover, Milan and Munich. Each with 6 return flights per week.

More good route news.

A lot of routes to Germany and LH hubs in particular, but afaik no tie-up with LH. Is one in the pipeline? If not you have to wonder about the likely success of 3 daily to FRA - Loads on BM's other routes to STAR hubs haven't exactly been stellar since the codeshares went.

Given the recently announced routes and talk of more to come at BRS, are any of the existing routes going to have to be culled to make way? I hope they're not going to pull routes from other bases with little more than a couple of weeks notice.

A tie-up with LH is very unlikely on HAJ&HAM&BRE - as all non-FRA&MUC routes will become Germanwings routes.

I am quite aware of that thank you. If you'd read my question you would see that I was referring particularly to routes to LH hubs.

Looks like BM are planning to reduce the number of aircraft based at EMA from 2 to 1 from 13th May. They will also reduce there EMA-FRA service from 11 to 6 x weekly from the same date.

Based on the current schedule it looks as if BM base the following aircraft at there bases for S13.

ABZ - 2 x ER4
BHX - 1 x ER4
BRS - 1 x ER4 & 2 x ER3
EDI - 2 x ER4
EMA - 1 x ER4
GLA - 1 ER4
LBA - 1 x ER4
MAN - 2 x ER3

Does anyone know how many ER4's BM currently have flying as part of the EADS contract?

Are BM planning to base a aircraft for the BRE-TLS service?

BM are only increasing the FRA to 2 x daily not 3 x daily from BRS.

But the aircraft will have a nightstop at BRE. How are they going to do the crewchange? At TLS?

airlineroute.net reported, a ER4 will be used for BRE-TLS. If a MAN based aircraft will be used, it will be a ER3?

From what I can gather the BRE will be operated by a BRS crew.

Believe they will need 2 or possibly even 3 of the aircraft will be used to operate the EADS contract flights. That leaves just two aircraft unaccounted for. They will probably be used as standby aircraft or to operate charter services.

You have listed 13 aircraft above.
A further 2 operate the CEG to TLS for Airbus. 2 will operate charter work and the last will be a maintenance spare to cover this summer C check work.

I wonder if the 3 all-white G-EMB_ aircraft & the ex-Star Alliance aircraft will get repainted anytime soon? Seems like the fleet has some flexability at the mo in order to release them, be nice to see the whole fleet in the bmi livery!

GRJXI the ex star alliance aircraft livery has already had a new paint job into BMI regional colours. The other white aircraft are leased so unlikely to be painted.

G-RJXI

I was on XI last Friday, and it was in 'white', so unless 'white' are the new colours?

Are the official colours of BMIR the blue/red/white of the old BMI?
