The longest night.

I still have to pinch myself as I watch and listen to this unfold.

All the staff at bmibaby do not deserve what is happening to themselves, their passengers or their airline one tiny jot.

To all my ex flight deck and cabin colleagues, keep your chins up and chests out..........we are all proud of you

Best of luck

Ant

Edit: found it... I was stupidly searching for this mornings flight...

BMI22J is the penultimate flight from Palma's callsign

Good luck to all the crews and staff in finding employment elsewhere.
I'll definitely miss bmibaby, I always liked their livery and names on the planes.

By my reckoning based on Flight Radar 24 the final BMIbaby flight into BHX has just touched down.

I watched both the BHX inbound and also G-TOYK (Going to EMA) descending over Milton Keynes. Feels sad seeing them for the last time.

Sad day indeed. Best of luck for all the crew in the future.

I watched YK fly over Bedford bound for EMA, although as FR24 is concerned, it landed in a field 2 miles north of Oakwood...

Would love to hear any recordings of the ATC of the last couple of flights if anyone is able to publish some.

I'm recording at the moment, very emotional as the last flight is now on final approach.

'Baby 28V, for the very last time, you're cleared to land'.

And he's down. Bye bye baby.

Passing BMI aircraft en-route to MAN called up on tower to wish the crews all the very best for the future, which ATC duly passed on to the remaining flights.

Best of luck to all staff and crew. I think it's always a shock and sad when an airline suddenly end operations overnight due financial reasons. However, in this instance everybody still had to work to the last day. Very hard I'm sure.

Just turned the colour of the writing of all of the Bmibaby planes on my spotting spreadsheet to red, meaning 'No longer in use'

Bye Bye Baby. One amazing company and it will 1000% be missed.

I'd also be interested in hearing the recording of the last few flights!
Very sad day indeed.

Would also be nice to see if anybody recorded the last flight on camera. Would also love to see that too.

Apparently aircraft got a water cannon salute and was greeted by 200 members of WW staff.

From the interwebs:

Listened to the last flight to dep BHX earlier

"For the very last time, baby xxx is clear for takeoff"

Just watched it return back into BHX

Pilot "Thanks for all your help over the years."

ATC "Not at all, it's been a pleasure and we're very sorry to see you go."

A sad day and can only wish the very best of luck to all the staff.

Correct, the baby staff all had a massive party at the the airport that started at 12:00 when all the aircraft left on their final commercial sectors.

Theres also evidence of a water fight as when I left after scorching hot weather all morning the cars in the airport staff car park next to the terminal were all covered in water.
