KLM
Just back from Milan and made the journey with KLM via AMS. Must say very easy and enjoyable journey in both directions. The transfer in AMS was easy and leaving from BHD perfect. My fare was cheaper than FR or EI from DUB when i was booking. Travelling on the F70 was also cool.

According to CAA stats,if all flights operated in May, average load factor was 37. Think this route as I've said would have better placed at BFS interlining with their Star Alliance partner United, morning rotation.

Interesting. I wonder if it will become a more common substitution when Brussels retire their 146s in favour of A319s next year. I believe there was one day this summer when they operated an A319 on the route but it doesn't look like the loads would sustain it.

I've flown on 146 nearly full in July, its also worth remembering the May figures reflect a route one month into operation and also one month after the terror attacks, I don't suppose too many folk were rushing over for a romantic weekend. BRU is really good to connect at and I find SN offer connections cheaper than KLM or BA, for instance over Easter next year BHD-BUD is cheaper than the other two and cheaper than EI from DUB, only FR without baggage any less. Interesting to see if FR do anything from here, Charleroi has been rumoured.

Was on the Brussels Airlines flights yesterday, returning from BRU, and the Avro was jammed. Couldn't see any empty seats.
As others have said, the majority of passengers appeared non British / Irish, and there seemed to be many connections judging by the bag tags at reclaim. In no way scientific, but good to see if yesterday is representative.

DC9_10, I didn't use SN heading out, so unable to answer. Sorry.
Used BA and Eurostar. Loads on the BA seemed reasonable, but few empty seats noted.
BA seem to be offering free child seats for every adult fare purchased, through the Autumn. Is this just on the Belfast flights, or across all domestics? Is this BA trying to attract leisure traffic away from the loco's?

Stab3.5up,
You are quite right, you could indeed add cyber children, I cannot see them refusing you to board if the children didn't show. There is zero tax so this is a cracking offer.
Kids Fly Free with British Airways this Summer
This is a good source of info on such matter and a great way to ramp up your mileage, this might get taken down if it is perceived as promoting the site. Though it is a good source of information, more than selling something per se.

I must admit to being a bit confused on the focus on international numbers, perhaps thats where the real money is to be made though. I always thought Harbour tried to corner the domestic market, something it seems to be neglecting in the recent months and years. The London offering from Harbour is now really poor and only seems suitable for those people who are putting the bill on their expenses form! I know the last three times I have travelled to London, Easy and Ryanair have won hands down, the cost to London City and Heathrow was simply eye watering. In my humble opinion Harbour is really lacking a leisure fare type to London, the loss of Gatwick was an absolute shame and there doesn't appear to be any moves to replace it with anything. Well done that marketing team! :roll eyes:
Incidentally Easy and Ryanair were virtually the same price to Gatwick on each occasion I have travelled, prices have definitely fallen and I think the growth in numbers at Aldergrove reflect that, I wonder who will blink first though once revenues start to fall.
