CELW is at LBA for its end of life check, after which it will position to Kemble for decommissioning. Once the Royal Mail contract is finished the remaining QCs will be demodified to a passenger-only configuration.

Yes the episode where they raced the royal mail to deliver a letter from the channel islands to the shetlands, there was also a 737 in a full royal mail livery in that episode i remember, dont know what became of that aircraft

If it was the Titan 737, that's now with Atlantic Airlines as G-JMCT

I'm not sure but I don't think any of the Titan 737s were actually painted in the full Royal Mail colours only the Jet2 737s so the one seen on the Top Gear episode was more than likely a Jet2 aircraft and not the one you mentioned.

Jet2 have never painted their aircraft in Royal Mail colours. G-CELW was in the Channel Express livery before it was painted the Jet2 Grey/Silver. The Royal Mail liveried 737 looks to be an SF, so can't be a Jet2 one. Most likely to be Titan.

Royal Mail c/s was Titan Airways G-ZAPV. As previously mentioned the aircraft is now with Atlantic Airways as G-JMCT. Previously with Philippine Airlines, Go Fly & easyJet.

ZAPV was in Royal Mail colours, I flew it on a base training flight for Titan when I was working at Jet2.

According to Jethro's, Jet2 rumoured to be acquiring at least two secondhand Boeing 738's (GDRTA / GGDHI).

Anyone know anything more? Where these aircraft are coming from?

So the Jet2 reg sequences...
G-LSA* (LS - IATA code)
G-JZH* (JZH - J2H "Jet2holidays")
G-DRT* (DRT - Dart group)

So what do G-CEL* and G-GDF* stand for? I assume "CEL" might have something to do with Channel Express?

And is that correct, G-GDHI? Is G-GDH* a new sequence? I hope not... In my current line of work, GDH is a faecal chemical that means you have C. Diff...

Been told in another forum that it's G-GDFI (not G-GDHI) to come, along with G-DRTA.

If that's the case, I don't see why they didn't use G-JZHI as well then ?? Unless there is a third second hand B737-800 coming along?

G-DRTA is coming from Air Europa and should arrive at the end of FEB in NWI for its entry into service. EC-JBJ is it's current registration.

G-DRTB is coming from TUIfly and should be here late Feb early Mar and is currently registered D-AHFV.

These are two additional frames ontop of the new frames still currently being delivered.

G-JZHV is next and is due from Seattle in the jet2.com silver livery at the end of Feb.

Sorry guys you all got it wrong with regards to GDF
GDF was/is used by jet2.com management of how to deal with their staff if a mistake is made and is based on the North Korean model of how to deal with people.

GDF = Grounded Disciplined Fired

Jet2's latest brand new B737-800, G-JZHV, is on it's way to the UK.

Don't know if it's heading for Leeds or Manchester......but given the weather forcast...could be Manchester.
