G-JZHA was flying under a Norwegian callsign yesterday. That is probably what was meant.
G-JZHA - Is operating on behalf of DY today due to strike action by Scandanavian based pilots. Aircraft currently operating DY1800 OSL-AGP service.

You can always rely on a 75 even though they are getting on.

Have to love the 737. The -300's with the new winglets look stunning too! But for me, it has to be the -800. Long live the 737 (and the 757, of course, the next best thing!)

Only trouble is that the 73's seem to go tech a lot more than the 75's, 757 number one for me.

Jet2 Dart group.

There's obviously something going to at Jet2! The share price this morning has been very volatile.

Jet2 reveals cost of passenger compensation
Compensation payments to passengers whose flights have been delayed and cancelled will cost regional carrier Jet2 £17 million this year.

The figure was revealed in a trading update to the London Stock Exchange by parent company Dart Group this morning.

However, the Group said winter losses were lower than expected, so operating profit for the year to the end of March will be ahead of current market expectations and broadly in line with last year when it made £49.2 million.

It said forward bookings for summer 2015 are 'encouraging' with over 50% of the season already sold, which is ahead of this time last year.

Not sure about "volatile"......the market must just like what it heard this morning.

Up 18% so far today.....time to cash in those share options me thinks....Cheers "Big Phil"

Great news. Maybe they can afford a few more winglet kits before the fuel price rises start to bite again.

Hooded

If their hedging policy is similar to most other airlines then it will be sometime before they gain from the fall in fuel costs, probably third quarter, unless they take the hit in the current year.

Linda. Thanks for that. Makes the results even more impressive then.

I understand the winglets benefit the 733s more than the 738s due to the latter's already larger wing. I am surprised they are still flying 738s without them though I would have thought they would be an easier mod than the 300s. Also the 757s have been in the fleet a while so unless they intend getting rid of the older birds I would have expected them to have been upgraded during maintenance by now. Anyone any insight on the plans?

CAA not happy about who operating the A330?? my understanding was that it was a ACMI lease.

To lease an aircraft please send your detailed request to *********.com Please specify:
1. What is the starting date of lease?
2. What is the route of the flights? Do you have the schedule?
3. Do you have commercial rights for these flights? Do you have the AOC?
4. How many sets of crew do you need?
5. What is the oldest aircraft age you would accept?
6. How many block hours do you guarantee? What is the cycles ratio?
7. What is your per hour budget?

Absolute garbage. Jet2 weren't doing any of the A330 maintenance.

that means nothing when there is an application to operate a new type. So maintenance provision may very much have been under scrutiny
