Excellent cheers - I'm more interested in the exit row with the room to stretch my legs out than specifically the 'suicide seat' right on the door (Though my other half would be in the said door seat as she wants window seats as she's a bit of a nervous flyer)

extra legroom seat up front or do they tend to remain 'pleasant' enough so as not to ruin my enjoyment of the flight??
Row 2 on a 757 is as good as it gets IMO..I normally sit at the back, but these seats really made the difference from OK to really good.

I have never noticed a smell wherever i have sat on a 757,

The seats by the door have the slide bustle, so there is less room to stretch out.

As Ernest says, up front is better, and all the Jet2.com B757's have the mod that filters smells out of the fuselage via the outflow valve, so nasty niffs shouldn't be a problem.

looks like CELZ caused a few problems yesterday. Operated EDI-FAO but must have went tech as LSAN did the return arriving in EDI around 1ish this morning. G-GDFL came up to operate flights today and CELO came up yesterday afternoon to operate mail flights last night.

G-CELZ is a QC (Quick Change), so PAX in the day, and mail (cargo) at night. Re role between Cargo and Pax takes around 30 mins.

Here is the article from Avherald about G-CELZ.

Incident: jet2 B733 at Faro on Sep 6th 2012, could not retract flaps

Aircraft was able to return to EDI this morning.

Does anyone know when in October the two Allegiant 757's leave the fleet (I know G-LSAM will be first as it is due to get winglets before heading off to Allegiant)

So, do Allegiant not mind Jet2 using their colours?

Not sure about that, but Jet2 either asked their permission to use it or the slight change they made with the sun on the tail is not considered copying.

..... less stickers to remove! Gives Jet2 the option to lease a few more to them in the winter. I'm not saying that will happen, just that it's an option.

But Jet2 also have the Allegiant livery on some of their owned aircraft

Those were the ones I meant that they coulda lease out to Allegiant....... Jet2 don't need as many aircraft in the winter and winter is the busy season for the Americans but it's just my humble idea. I'm just a pilot, not an airline director!

I dont mind - I much prefer the gray scheme, just seems slightly less tacky

Those are 2 allegiant colour schemes (757, md). Jet 2s (holiday) is very slightly different. Note the colouration of the sun on the tail.

There must be some agreement in my opinion that allowed Jet2 to use a very similar scheme that was probably formulated when the 75s (LSAL, LSAM) were initially leased from Allegiant. Just my opinion though.

You could be right..but myself I think the difference in light, is making the sun appear slightly different on the tail.
