An anti-skid fault would affect all of the wheels not just the trailing ones. The A332 lands on the trailing wheels and then derotates onto the forward part of the bogie. Looking at the photos it seems to be in the first third of the runway 07.On the metars there was a windshift about this time and a windshear warning. The autothrust of the A332 I used to fly was always very sluggish to respond to speed excursions caused by wind changes,

Last time I saw and wheels like that the park brake had been left on. Just a heavy landing would cause the trucks to rotate and slam the front wheels down hard, possibly harder than the rears? Pure downforce impact couldn't possibly do that to just the rears...
Could it?

Would have thought so unless they can find alternative reasons for blow outs like metal shards in tyres I suppose, from another source. Air Tanker insurers will ultimatly pay I would think, bearing in mind not just A/C damage but also runway and obviously replacment A/C and accomidation / diruption.
I boarded the A/C on Monday pm and noted that walking past L/H side to middle door that she appeared to be in very new condition, including tyres. Usually you tend to board on air bridges more often than not these days (carriers I fly anyway), but we were bused out at Palma, so go to look at her close up relativley, while waiting to climb steps (5min as some older folk in front). I guess some explaining to be done by crew if as other crew have posted it is down to lock up or wind shear. Anyway nobody hurt which is always the worst scenario.
Regards
Mr Mac

Any indications what might be drafted in for tomorrow? I'm currently in ACE expecting to fly back on it.
Having checked the seat maps our flight and the PMI in the morning are both almost full.

LS819/820 & LS8190/8200
Again tomorrows MAN-PMI-MAN & MAN-ACE-MAN scheduled Airbus A330 flights are been split onto 2 aircraft which will most likely be a combination of Jet2's own Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 757-200 which are on standby.
LS831/832 & LS8310/8320
LS891/892 & LS8910/8920

Jet2 drunks removed by police at BCN
Jet 2 BHX/GRO flight last night diverted to BCN because of storms over Girona (as did the following Belfast flight)
Unruly Stag & Hen party caused a rumpus and 22 were removed by police at Barcelona.
Aircraft(s) returned to GRO after 2 hours on the ground at BCN.
Luckily the crew were still in hours for a very late return flight to BHX
No doubt the facebook pics will start appearing.

The same can't be said for Easyjet whom we flew from Newcastle to Corfu with last week, two rowdy oiks boarded and sat in row 1. Shouting and swearing about how they'd 'downed' 5 vodkas in the terminal. Despite the complaints from passengers the wet lettuce of a cabin manager did jot all about it and spent the next 3 hours in flight trying to keep them quiet. Even bribed them with a free can of cider as we landed in Corfu for being good boys. Ridiculous.

Sealink...
Jet2 seems to attract these rowdy passengers!
Jet2.com are taking the lead in not accepting anti social behaviour. This has led to many headlines as it is dealt with.
Unlike other airlines which allow people to join the mile high club in row 15, amongst other things...
