Turkey has seen a big increase in people going back to the area. Hopefully will see a Bodrum / Antalya / Izmir service again in the future.

Do we know a start date yet for the Qatar Airways flights ? Isn't it meant to be from April 2018 ?
All we need now is a transatlantic schedule then passenger figures will increase even more.....shame we can't get Norwegian in.

Actually Norwegian flying in to do a flight for Thomson every week I think at the moment. So already have a presence. It's good that the yearly total is nearly 1.5 million passengers. That's over a 50% increase in passengers in what two years.

Norwegian in their own right would be better though as their flights are for TUI and only bookable via TUI/Thomson and not really classed as their own flights.

One hopes Flybe have done their sums when they signed with WAG as some of those 195 routes are not great even without getting on to the subject of yield. However the Dash 8 routes other than LCY have promise - Paris twice a day as a Dash, EDI three times a day as a Dash, get rid of MXP, TXL MUC and unfortunately Faro - just a thought.

Got to remember that BE now have competition (well summer only) with Ryanair.
Shame about the TXL loads, mind you it is summer and Berlin is more of a winter citybreak. Same could be said about MUC too.
MXP has previously had better months so hopefully it's just a blip for May.
Do agree that a fleet of Dash 8's would be more suitable for the closer destinations of CDG, EDI, GLA, DUB, JER & ORK.
The E95 is surely better suited to the longer sun & ski routes.
Who knows what Flybe have got planned for CWL.

Those stats are looking rather healthy in large parts.
Be interesting to see how all this bunch get on throughout the rest of the Summer, i believe the next batch of CAA stats is due for release on the 28th.
There remain some opportunities to exploit at CWL for BE, although i must agree with Pete above. BE really do need to concentrate on the key routes, and those that remain profitable (if any). MXP, TXL and DUS have never really taken off (excuse the pun), and the aircraft can be used on other more useful destinations. Still surprised that BHD hasn't been upgraded to an E195 or even made double daily, it's continually been the jewel in the crown of BE routes from CWL.

No not joking just wishful thinking
Having just moved to the island I'm shocked just how complicated it is to reach Manchester airport buy public transport and how long it takes to drive to London / Essex not forgetting the total shock of how much virgin trains charge
I think the route would work rather well in both directions think it would be more popular than the Cardiff route with the number of self connections available at Stansted I don't see how it couldn't work.
