BHD/GLA not on sale yet, presumably will be released when these bases are released.

Flybe have also increased the VRN flights to x2 per week plus increase to FAO too - standing their "home" ground against Ryanair !!!

TXL also goes to x3 per week

Great to see FCO at long last....no mention of DUS for 2017 (so far).

Just had email about the new FCO flights and it clearly states "more still to be announced........" so looks like some additional routes to be added on the 2nd phase.

July Stats

July stats are out. Some routes seem to be doing very well on numbers. Will post details later. Dublin is over 10,000 passengers, Amsterdam is over 12,000 Vueling routes are all over 5,000 and Milan is over 3,000.

Got into trouble from the Swissport dispatcher on this afternoons Aer Lingus departure as I had ventured for a walk and a window view down the pier and out of the shopping mall area. She crossly insisted I leave the area as my flight had not yet been called and I could be attempting to "circumvent additonal security checks". All sounded very serious yet loads of people were entering the same pier as the loos were closer (!)

She was looking for one late runner and assumed it was me so that may explain her attitude I guess. Are additonal Police checks on departures common out of CWL? There were un-manned Police podiums at the entrance to the pier and Gate 1. That's a first in 25 years of air travel for me.

Special Branch can see any flight they want and there are certain flights that they see more than other.

The doors between departures and the boarding gates are usually locked and only opened when a flight is boarding.

Unfortunately having not seen the operations at other airports I cannot comment on how Special Branch monitors flights at other UK airport.

Assuming these are morning and evening rotations, maybe they are looking at a route for the Q400 during the day?

LCY

Curiously the route appears to stop for a week at the end of October and start again at the beginning of November. In fairness though, I checked a CWL LCY flight for tomorrow and the first flight (it said) was full.

Absolutely! but think of all the dead 'empty leg' seats associated with stopping and starting again.

Reason for this is that BE anticipated that the route would end this Friday given it's originally temporary nature, however today's news has confirmed it is to be extended on a permanent basis for as long as demand is there.

This means the service will resume in November. I am also assuming the aircraft will fly an additional route during the day and possibly evening (Crew permitting).

For the temporary operation they have used BHD based crew and swapped the aircraft with the BHD flights on what seems a near daily basis to facilitate crew transfer. I imagine this will continue in some form given that CWL is not a BE Dash 8 Crew Base.

Can't really see Flybe parking the Dash 8 up in between the new LCY flights and ID imagine there to be another announcement sometime soon with hopefully a new destination to operate between the 2 LCY flights.

As it is Winter, anyone have any suggestion or idea ?

More than likely changes to BHD times and aircraft/crew swaps. Don't get too excited. This is the winter schedule which starts in less than 2 weeks.

Yes agree but this new route (or rather extension) was only confirmed yesterday......

So unless they do reschedule the BHD flight then I can't see them parking up that aircraft all day in between flights.....

Who knows what BE have planned, maybe an extra BHD flight would assist especially with crewing.
