FUE reinstated by TOM at CWL for half of the winter season, operating late October, a couple in November and 3 flights over the December/January period. Utilising the based aircraft on a Wednesday which has not been the case for a while when PFO is non-op.
Also, a great result from the boys in red yesterday, group winners. Who would have thought that ey ? The English won't like it, but Cardiff Airport might ! I wonder who will be the first airline to put on extra flights to/from CDG this weekend ...

Cobalt Air
I have had an email direct from Cobalt advising that Cardiff (and the other destinations initially announced but not released to date) are all in Phase 2 which will be for the Winter 2016-2017 season.
Schedules to be announced shortly

Gullivers & Strachan have both been selling day return flights. Unfortunately it is not known if they are two seperate flights or if they are sharing allocation.
Nothing is displaying on the Cardiff Airport flight information screens at present.

I know it's only Wikipedia and any Tom, Dick or Harry can add to it but it's showing Ryanair as starting FAO, GRO and AGP......
Any truth in this or just wishful thinking of someone ?

Thomson with B788 to DWC
Thomson schedules Dubai service in W16 :: Routesonline
As CWL has not the longest runway is there any restirction or can the B788 start without any problems? Could EK operate a B77W to CWL someday with the current runway?

Cardiffs runway is slightly longer than newcastle's so should be on unless they have restrictions there too.

Hopefully Cobalt will start CWL-LCA for Summer 2017
Also Blue Islands have applied for the GCI-CWL-GCI licence (if it happens)
Would be great to see a LOCO, be it just a few flights here and there to start.
Really thought Ryanair would have offered another Canary Island destination such as LPA, ACE or FUE, but still good to see TFS increasing this winter to twice a week.
