If you are going to draw a comparison between APD and prescription charges then surely anyone who does not have a Welsh postal address will have to carry on paying

Watch, wait, and see.

Flyerboy, a slightly spurious argument with shades of reductio ad absurdam, perhaps?

I first heard of this rumour over two weeks ago however the details in which I heard seemed unrealistic and unbelievable.

However over the last week the rumour does seem to be gathering pace with a lot of people asking me questions on if it is true or not. However nothing has been mentioned or leaked in the press.

Some say a major announcement is to be made today, next week and others have said it's within the next month.

I believe this rumour has begun by someone being spotted in the airport.

After numerous Ryanair rumours and less than twelve months ago one about the Airport being sold to a German company and Jet2/monarch walking out midway through a meeting with Cardiff Airport, is this just another case of someone putting two and two together and getting six.

They may have adopted Olly cat - that's as big as I can see news, but I look forward to being proved wrong! Won't be Ryanair I'd remain certain.

CWL has got a NYC route with Delta and/or KLM via AMS ..... but just how many people make use of the route and actually travel CWL/NYC?

Unfortunately you can't believe anything in this industry until an airline/airport officially announce it. There have been so many rumours in the past, everyone gets excited, leads to nothing. Remember rumours can also have a negative effect especially if the news is bad... lets hope for the sake and future of CWL that something comes out of this.

But on the ''hypocritical'' hand... the rest Flybe's Summer 12 schedule is due out in the next 1/2 weeks...

Ive also heared of this rumour coming out this week/ next week/ this month etc!

What Mathers said is also true, it come from someone being seen in the airport- from what i understand.

But as Twinaisle said before, 'Watch, wait, and see.'
I for one dont believe anything until it is formally announced.

Edit- (Sorry if mentioned before)
Helvetic Airways have released a winter shcedule from Cardiff to Zurich. Down from 4 to 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Suprising prehaps considering the frankly dire loadings, however their fares are quite high and a deal with a travel agency may have ensured enough yeild for the route to remain in operation.

So, who was seen in the airport? I don't imagine that it is a matter of national security to say who it was.

Simon Cowell? Kim Il Jong? Julia Gillard? Not much of a rumour network without saying what the rumour is.
