I'm guessing its Stobart Air/Aer Lingus Regional that is doing the route? So i'm guessing it will be Carsile-Belfast City (BHD)?

Quite correct, JAI fly to EWR, IAD and YYZ.

And seeing as LAX was the first flight ETH started from DUB, I'd be very surprised if they didn't at least informally ask for 5th freedom rights. Now whether they didn't get it because there are already multiple carriers on IAD and YYZ or because there aren't enough gates for another 2 heavies at that time of the morning...

Wouldn't of been a problem, most of the EI's don't leave 300s until after 7 so just a case of brining aircraft on stand or make EI bus passengers, they had to bus a daily flight over the summer this year.

What do you bet it will be for one of those high density 2 class 615 seaters.

Unlikely but you never know. I think F operates at around 60% so no bad on 777 but if they did send two class IMO it would be the odd peak season service however two class 777 is very common during summer.

I know nothing about when they plan on brining it but they have requested it so it is coming at some stage.

There will be the contact stand as well as a remote one available. Lot's of planned apron reconstruction work happening between pier 3 and 4 which is taking over 6 months so likely until May before A380 will be allowed operate.

Today 2008 record was exceeded with over 23.5 million using the airport so far, previous record of 23.46. Basing on last Decemeber figure of 1.6 it more less confirms over 25 million this year.

Storm Desomnd causing problems EY cancelled clearance at last minute before having another go while FR returned a 19.40 to BVA flight to stand delayed until 06.00.

Another flight landed fully and had to take off again.

BA pilot on BA838 from London-Dublin returned to LHR without approach and telling ATC to have a word with the daa, when asked why, they said this isn't right. Been referred to head of operations. Wonder if it's the same guy who was given a telling off before

We have all seen the mega wind go arounds at BHX and MCT etc, does this BA guy expect something special from the DAA.We all live in the real world and judgement calls have to be made but I would never blame an airport operator for decisions that I make.

Aircraft largely landing ok apart from the odd go around but major issues on the ground for departures with several sitting between terminal and runway after the push back, seems the wind figures are too high for take off.

Looks like FR have called it a day with 7-8 flights all returning to stand! Now just the small problem of moving around 10 aircraft to make way....

Indeed and with aircraft trying to push the limits the controllers sound stressed

Due to this high increase (+15% growth) DUB will surpass OSL, PMI, VIE, ARN, MAN, BRU and DUS. DUB should be 18th busiest airport in Europe (including IST, SVO, DME, SAW and AYT to Europe) behind CPH (around 26 mln), ZRH (26.25) and AYT (27.5 but decreasing due to less Russian tourists in the future). I can see DUB to be 15th busiest airport in Europe by 2016/2017.

Flight to no where. Sat onboard FR BGY departure this morning for 3 hours before being cancelled. Airport heaving and a/c parked everywhere by looks of things. Lots of disappointed travellers including me.
