No will not happen because it would require operations to be split, just like an EI move to T5 is LHR is more less out of the question for a long time.

When T2 gets the extra pier it would be possible which is at a minimum 6+ years away.

Well, of course there is a reason and it is painting. Eirtech have a contract to paint some of the Qatar fleet and quite a few of their aircraft have been painted at DUB at this stage, including A320/1s, A330s, A340s and 777s.

Aren't the flights from Iceland, not Ireland, or are they from both?

IIRC the commission for aviation regulation set the required pax figure for DUB to build the parallel runway and new long haul pier at 25.5 million, so a 2% growth next year looks like it will be enough to meet those requirements. Busy few years ahead.

25 million for the runway, there won't be any pier construction before 2019 determination at the earliest. Will be closer to 30 million+ before a new runway is built and operational. EI and IAG won't support a new pier been build before then either.

AFAIK a new planning application will be submitted in the coming months for the runway.

Great set of figures, while over 24.9 is confirmed by now, capacity is there to possibly hit 25.1 or close to it. Increasing numbers by up to 3.4 million is incrediable and next year is shaping up for an additional 2+ million passengers.

Nice little customer service touch by daa as well:

With Jet Airways closing BRU hub in March wonder if there is any chance DUB could secure them or wil they likely stick with AMS/CDG major airports etc.

That is if they open a new one!

I presume they have fifth freedom in BRU? IIRC They do JFK, IAD and YYZ daily? Multiple carriers already on all those routes ex DUB, including EI, I'd be very surprised if they were granted fifth freedom, Ethiopian weren't.

No longer JFK and ET did not apply for those rights.

I think its unlikely as well but you never know.

According to that link they're also looking at increasing YYZ-DUB from 7 to 9 weekly, thought they were 10 weekly already in Summer?
