New shareholders in CV
US interest group have made an offer to invest in Cargolux. The proposal was made to the Luxembourg Government at the end of last year. The turnaround strategy is based on new markets and profitable routes and underlined that there would be no stripping of assets. The Luxembourg government, however, is negotiating exclusively with the state of Qatar and Qatar airways for a takeover of the old Swiss Air shares. Their restructuring plan does include the sale of assets and the reduction of the workforce.
