At least Jet2 are providing transport between ALC and RMU, more than can be said for Valdermort Airlines passengers who are being told to stump up for a taxi at circa €130 and then try to claim it back

Very impressed with Ryanair’s communications re the re-route of my flight on the 16th Jan from ALC into RMU due the Terminal fire. However, crowd control for the coaches was not good. It took a couple of hours outside in the fine weather (thank goodness) before I managed to secure a place on one of the last coaches. The PRM’s and those with babies and children weren’t prioritised either until the last busses left, poor show there.
At lot of planned diversions and flight cancellations at ALC.
Alicante-Elche Airport will be closed from 1:00 p.m. today to 1:00 p.m. tomorrow due to the effects that the storm Gloria could have on the areas affected by the fire last week.
