And then on to someone else as Dreamjet inevitably goes under like every other previously tried all business class TA service.

Will be nice to see her in a shiny new livery though.

I see G-TUIA is with Nordic at the moment.

Why are they covering Nordic, not enough 78's up there? Not utilised enough her eat this time of year?

Thomson operate a large proportion of their sister company TUI Fly's winter operation as the Scandinavian market is the opposite of the UK market i.e; busier in winter than they are in the summer. Makes sense and has been the case for a number of years now - nothing new.

Not sure I would agree the Scandinavian arm is busier in Winter than in Summer. Its certainly a different route profile, busier...im not convinced.

Cabin Crew,

The Scandies are quieter in the Summer,as stated above. That's why a scandic 767 comes to the UK in the summer and in the past UK pilots have taken secondment in the Winter in the Nordics .

You don't need to agree CabinCrewe it's fact.

The Scandinavians prefer to holiday in the winter months as it's pretty bleak out there just now, not to mention dark for most of the day. It's a very different market to that of the UK with daily departures to Thailand from their biggest hubs and a number of other long haul destinations flown by the UK airline from there to Cancun, Puerto Plata and Mauritius also this year.

Next summer two Scandinavian 787's will be flying short haul config from LGW & MAN as not required by TUI Fly Nordic due to lower demand.

The Americans have worked it out.
The Canadians have worked it out.
The Scandinavians have worked it out.
No doubt there are other nationalities that have too.

Why do the British go away when the weather's at it's best at home, and stay at home when it's rubbish???

Yep, the Brits cannot seem to work it out - a few examples: the Caribbean in the summer (hurricane season) and here on the Costa del Sol many who have retired down here go back to the UK for weeks at a time in the winter when at the moment it is around 19 deg and sunny most days although it did rain last Sunday! Then they stop here in July and August when it is very hot and full of trippers - sorry holidyamakers. Also Egypt in the summer - must be mad. Regarding the Caribbean and Egypt I think I have worked it out - its cheap!
