CWL will be looking at least 1 x 738 1 x 752 as they have increased flights for Summer 2013. Also thomson should be operating more destinations from Cardiff as it is the capital of a country with only one major airport offering flights?
Back in summer 06, 07 Cardiff had 1 x 733 2 x 752 1 x 762 and 1 x 763 and most of the time those aircraft's were full!

Don't forget the First choice/ Skyservice A320 in the pre Thomson Airways days. A significant seat reduction between then and now!!

I'd say likelihood of 787 in Cardiff in the near future is less than the likelihood of TOM moving out of Cardiff altogether.
Anyone disagree?

Well actually there is a chance Thomson will have a 787 at cardiff in the future as there is plans for major improvements to Cardiff airport to be a international hub for Heathrow.

"Cardiff Airport: Western Gateway plan for Heathrow hub.
Ambitious plans to transform Cardiff Airport into an international hub have been submitted to the UK government.
Transport experts and entrepreneurs have developed a £250m plan to turn it into Heathrow's Atlantic terminal.
An expanded Cardiff Airport, to be called Western Gateway, aims to attract international fliers who can be transported to London via high speed rail within an hour. "

Although thomson do not fly from LHR thomson will be having competition will all the other airlines that would be in Cardiff so there is a high chance they will base an 787.

Cardiff

In 2013 Thomson have a full schedule out of CWL, utilising the aircraft as much as possible, whereas over the past few years this hasn't always been the case. There will be 31 flights operated on their own metal, plus Air Europa being chartered for a PMI flight. CWL is never going to be a much bigger base for Thomson like it was in 2006/2007, but this must show confidence in CWL as a regional base.
As for the 787, it may well be seen at CWL, but certainly not for regular Long Haul flying.
There are still destinations that are underserved at CWL, such as FAO, the Canaries and BJV.

Not sure. Maybe some will go to Allegiant

Also looks like the 733 and one of the A321's have been withdrawn from use. They have not flown since the end of October.

Picture of new livery at Norwich G-OOBH.5.11.12. (1) | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

In my opinion the tui logo on the tail looks far to small!
