Dubai. Due to be announced for Winter 16/17 along with some other new L/H routes I'm hearing of.
Are any of the additional longhaul flights envisaged from CWL or just the standard cruise flights?

So can these DXB flights actually be used for trips to Dubai or must you be a cruise passenger?

Also... DXB or DWC. I have a feeling this could be one heading for DWC.

Hello, searched but can't find the answer to this. Seat plan for 787-8 to Mexico on 5th November 2015 (TOM) shows rows 31 to 36 as extra leg room seats. Does anybody know exactly what the pitch is? Thomson are strangely quiet about it and won't confirm the exact pitch.

Cardiff to Dubai

I am trying to find out if the Cardiff to Dubai flight is on weekly basis? I am considering this cruise myself but would like to return home afterwards rather than a cruise and stay. Realise the flight does not operate every week only on certain days. I am flexible with dates. If you have any additional information let me know. Thanks.

It's likely these will be operating to DWC. The packages will not go on sale until November so we will know more then.

DUBAI NAMED AS NEW HOME PORT FOR THOMSON CELEBRATION CRUISE SHIP - TUITravel Media Centre - Thomson
As per the posted link several posts previously, these flights will operate to DWC/OMDW. Not surprising given the congestion at DXB/OMDB these days, not to mention I'm sure the cost.

It's a bit unfortunate though that DXB is what - probably not even 2 miles away from Dubai's cruise terminal and DWC is 30 miles away along one of the worlds most congested roads.
Unless Thomson are thing of pulling the boat into Jebel Ali port!

Thomson Cruises will be using the Dubai Cruise Terminal as was mentioned is only about 2 miles from DXB which will obviously mean a 30 mile transfer when flying into DWC,

Goldeneye.

What TUI are doing is feeding their chain of hotels around the World.

Which is why we don't see big increases to places like Florida.

Thomson using DWC as opposed to DXB should be no shock considering their TUI partners Jetairfly and Neos also use DWC. Makes sense to keep the group airlines together for costs and handling etc.

NEOS mostly feeds Costa Cruises on these flights to DWC.

as i hear they are thinking about doing 300 /328 on the 787-8 but which of them would it be?

Looking back to post 2883 states longhaul config will be 300 seats for all Tui group 787s going forward.
It also suggests 325 is the shorthaul config

I'm aware about the DXB flights and the possible route to Phuket from Manchetser but I was just wondering if there was anything else?

Oh dear at least I made the most of the 33" pitch to Orlando before a shoe horn is going to be required.
