Of the A330 performance I have no knowledge but I have spent the last 20 years flying 767 aircraft on longhaul operations out of many UK airports including LBA.On an ISA standard day still air using optimised flap with packs off the 763 is limited to 167.4 tonnes on RW32 and 172.5 t on RW14.This is a long way short of the max. structural regulated take off weight of 186.8t.Typically zero fuel weights will be around 120t, depending on atlantic winds I,d expect a min. fuel required to Florida or the Caribbean to be 46.0-50.0tonne .Direct flight capability will always be an on the day decision.Shannon has a long runway and has saved the day on many occasions for a quick fuelling stop.My personal record is 26 minutes from Brake on to Brakes off for a transatlantic fuelling stop. The reduction in seating capacity of 767s with the increasing popularity of premium seating has helped a little with the range capability of 763 aircraft from limiting runway such as BOH,BRS and LBA .Regards Stampe

LBA/ISB Dec 09 (Provisional) vs Dec 08 3820/2352 +62%
Taken from CAA website, the jump from Dec 08 is due to 3 weekly vs 2 weekly.
By rough calculation it seems average load factor around 75%

Jet2 Boeing 767 ?????

Rumour has it that Jet2 are again trying to aquire a 767 aircraft....this aircraft will be based in Manchester and will do long haul to Mexico, Florida and Barbados.........
Can anyone shed any light on this rumour, as it has been kicking around for a couple of years now.............

With Jet2 having their head office at Leeds, if this plane actually becomes part of the Jet2 fleet it would be nice to see on the Concrete at LBA a few times a year.............what are the chances!!!!!

32/14.

If it had 332 pax, at least 7 were standing and 42 tonnes would have got it 3/4 the way there !

Sadly, the inbound diverted to MAN........ Can't get the staff these days

Not according to seatguru: Monarch Airlines A330-200 has 51 seats in Premium and 323 main class, a total of 374 seats.....as for the fuel, i cant remember where i got that figure from, maybe 42 tonnes was just a top up, as i have no idea what was already been carried....

Monarch

It also says that their 321s have 220 seats and their 320s have 180 and they don't. It's 214 and 174. It's the website that appears not to have been updated........it's 358 on a A330.....

PIA is back to 2 per week for the summer on Wed & Sat.
Maybe a chance of the 772 to keep the capacity at a similar level to 3 A310s. Watch this space.....

I have heard it all before....but this actually makes sense, why have three flights a week, when you can carry the same amount of Pax with just two flights....it would be great if they did use the 777-200er, or are PK cutting costs due to the recession!!!!!

Loads have been ok with PIA out of LBA and have increased over the past year so I am quite surprised that they are going to reduce the frequency. There has been many talks over the last year about changing aircraft to the 777 as the A310 is often delayed due to technical reasons and there isn't that much life left in them. It has been said that the 777 will be put onto the LBA route in the future but just when is the question? The A310 is still showing on the PIA timetable for the rest of the summer but this could quite easily change!
