I notice Thomas Cook are operating a cruise charter A330-200 LBA-BGI on 20th November. Planned to be non-stop.
Aircraft positions in from LGW in the morning arriving 08:00, departs LBA-BGI 09:45.
The return flight arrives LBA from BGI at 05:10 on 5th December then positions to MAN at 06:25.

Not really, just doing a few ILS approaches

Yep,saw the landing on 14,videod it,albeit through the fence, nearly made the Delta taxiway turn off.The take off was mighty impressive, rotating just after the old runway 27 intersection again off 14,obviously fairly light with a good stiffish crosswind.

From the LBIA website
Tony Hallwood Leeds Bradford International Airport's (LBIA) Commercial Director will be 'flying the flag' for the Leeds City Region at the 15th World Route Development Conference to be held in Beijing next week.
1,000 airline and airport delegates from across the world will meet in the Chinese capital to discuss new route development opportunities and LBIA will be meeting 18 carefully selected airlines to encourage the introduction of new destinations from Yorkshire's international gateway airport.
Top level meetings with American and Middle Eastern airlines will be undertaken to encourage the introduction of LBIA as a new destination on their worldwide route network. In addition airlinks with key cities in Germany and Eastern Europe will be a priority for discussion with a number of scheduled carriers.

Tony Hallwood
If Tony Hallwood thinks that there is a chance of getting new routes in and out of LBA then he is the right man for the job....I do believe that if they want long haul flight to and from Leeds, then they really need to sort out the runway as a matter of priority, a taxi way and a few hundred metres extension would be highly recommended...

What new routes does anyone think Leeds needs? As a relocated Yorkshireman in London Flybe and formally BMI hopefully give as much access as is neccesary through London connections for long haul, can anyone really see a longer haul network being sustainable from LBA as I just can't? No offence to my Yorkshire comrades but West Yorkshire has the airport it needs....wish I was wrong but KLM/BMI are fine for the business traffic and Jet2 is struggling to fill the leisure 'gap'.

Beach life...
in what way are jet2 struggling, there profits speak volumes, i think that most LS flights are about 80% full.....also, why should the good people of Yorkshire have to travel to London or Amsterdam to fly long haul, its about time the popluation of of Britain 61'000'000 of us, realised that there is more than one airport in the UK, that is why it is important for regional airports to be able to offer or try and secure long haul from local fields...if they work they work, if they dont they dont...but atleast they will have tried.
I for one think that LBA has the potential for a lot more, and i hope that they are successful in what they set out to achieve.........
The people of Yorkshire wouldnt expect the people who use London Airports,(Southerners) to have to travel a couple of hundered miles to catch a long haul flight, so why should we..lets keep the Yorkshire Brass, in Yorkshire............Just my thoughts

Runway,
Fair comment and whilst I agre with your sentiments and your ideology i'm afraid if Manchester and any other airport in the UK, apart from LON airports cannot sustain UK-US routes I don't think it's realistic to think that LBA can suddenly become the next big thing for new routes. I'm really happy to see Ryanair putting some headlines LBA's way but I think realistically any long haul aint gonna happen.....lastly please dont resort to regionalism, i straddle both fences and am proud of both where i'm from and where I live and what i do (Seniorish Manager in a leading airline)
Cheers

Beach.....
Why shouldnt i stick up and defend my Region, i am/was only stating a fact......have you not heard of the North/South devide, Most people in the South have probably never ventured towards the "Grim" North, I put alot of that down to ignorance.....there are alot of people in this country who believe that Leeds is a village (Emmerdale) and that it's all flat caps and whippets, infact is that not the general conception of the people in the South......Now Manchester airport...would be near perfect if it was on the right side of the pennines...LOL
please dont resort to regionalism
