When will Mike Stoddart give up? Correct me if i'm wrong but did they ever plan to be profitable in March 2008? - when they originally designed the business plan.

From Hudson Bay 12th Feb
Just in from the city.
Silverjet shares down another 30%. Rumour is the shares WILL be suspended tomorrow.
I find it shocking that the company is about to fold and yet they keep taking peoples money.
Its all about money money money. Root of ALL evil.

More to the point - what will they do with these two aircraft? No new routes or increased frequencies have been announced yet. If they intended operating them on revenue services as soon as this month, surely they should have started taking bookings by now.

G-BYAA was only taken out of service from Thomsonfly about 3 weeks ago.
G-BYAB is still in service.
How long will it take to refurb/paint the a/c into silverjet standards?
Also will the a/c undergo any hefty checks before being put into service with Silverjet? Or will they wait until whenever the standards checks are due?
They were well utilised with TOM!

Perhaps one or more of the current fleet is coming due for a heavy check and will go off line for a while. Its the sort of forward planning I would expect from Silverjet.

G-BYAB operated its last revenue service on 6/3
It is now at LTN for end of service work.
Incidentally, its worthy of mention that with G-BYAB leaving TOM, the 24 year association of BAL/TOM and the
767-200 comes to an end.
The first aircraft (G-BKVZ) was delivered to BAL on 27/2/84 (the first 767 in Europe)

The original aircraft (G-SJET) dates from 1986 and its technical gripes have been well reported in the past.
The two ex TOM aircraft in service date from 1990 (the next two are from 1991) However, these four aircraft despite high utilisation have been well looked after from new and are likely to be in much better condition than many aircraft of a similar age which have been operated by a variety of airlines.
In addition, virtually all the Engineers looking after the Silverjet a/c are ex TOM (so they should have some idea what they are doing!)

Re MIKE JENVEY POST,
Friends of mine travelled on SilverJet and pretty much came up with the same comment as you. Overall good, but seats need to go flat, IFE needs to be better and they said the food was terrible. Not in the same league as BA Club. But for £500 they said it was a bargin.
For how much longer though
