Freaky and quite scary

Hi Guys

Well just had a quick look at EMA dept and Arrivals screen for today.

How scary EMA are now ?

Almost approx 90% of there business is now FR.....

So if FR ever pulled out, it would be a disaster, really hit me this morning when i looked at the screens and it was just FR, shame EZY Went.

Not sure about your maths at 90% but its a big chunk of the daily movements for sure!!, shame about Easy, walking through to the old Easy Jet check in area this morning, i see that the airport wasted no time in taking down the Easy Jet sign, Just says Ryanair and Prayer area!! says it all really

I think when Miss Money Penny sits down with the Ryanair commercial team the tail will be wagging the dog and Ryanair will want pay back for MAG at Manchester

I think by the time this year is over EMA will have no more paxs than they did two years ago with Easy & baby, be over relient on Ryanair pax who i am told spend little in the terminal or car parks plus alot less ground based jobs (check in-customer service) reap what you sow

Let it snow let it snow

People must have expected EZY to leave, the only stage which I thought they might stay is when they release PMI and BCN...

It is quiet because of the winter, today was slow at EMA, no Thomson flights today, and only 1 TCX flight, usually it would be 2x TOM and 2x TCX, Wed is just quiet

For the summer, Jet2 will be at Desks 33-36 so will be woken up a bit down there in the Ryanair Zone, hopefully in for a busier summer than last, yes EZY have left, but there will be 3 more WW on the ground, Viking flights a few days a week, LS with a B757 and FR upto 8 aircraft? so should be quite a busy summer

summer 2010

I see now Goldtrail have corrected their flight programme from EMA and flights to HER/KGS/RHO/ZTH all now with viking airlines as per kiss programme, Goldtrail have withdrawn from other airports on their Greek programme.

Just checked RYANAIR programme for a sat 5/6/10 and still shows 8 aircraft required, but if the BHD flight was altered to a 06.35 dep it would fit in with AGP at 09.25 .

Last time I checked the timetable, which was around Christmas, there was 9 aircraft needed on a Saturday...

Murcia
Belfast City
Rome
Valencia
Malaga
Riga
Ibiza
Tenerife
Nantes

But im pretty sure they will move BHD to 06:25 so that it is able to fit the 09:25 AGP flight. From that i can remember, 9 aircraft were also needed on a Mon? and a Wed? but I believe they wouldnt increase to 9, and so think it will be 8

According to the NM website, there isn't a flight on a Tue, apart from between 1st June and the 8th June and it is only twice on a Wed between the 2nd June and the 9th June

Dec pax & 2009

Source: CAA

December 2009 263517 - 16%

2009 4653195 - 17.1%

Like BHX, I think it will best not too look too hard at the January figures
when published next month.

summer 2010

oliww ; when i checked the i.o.m a few weeks ago the programme i looked at was showing twice daily wed and daily others days, I have checked this a/m and see your correct and also see flight time changes for a sat/sun.

owen ; When i checked the ryanair programme on the 14/1/10 a/m it was only showing a p/m flight on a sat to and from DUB, good news as this now shows 8 aircraft required for summer 2010, the thread did quote a extra 2 aircraft for summer timetable.

regards
stuart

Ryanair

OliWW

I am not sure it means anything with Ryanair. BHX was similar until last
week with 5 based aircraft required, 6 on some days and 7 on another.

What happened last week, frequencies were cut drastically on some routes and Faro became a Faro based aircraft one of the days. Net
result it appears to be four based again (although you never know)
and less flights than 2009 due to the Canaries flights utilizing the
aircraft for longer.

The difference between BHX and EMA though is that BHX operators
are cutting back or stagnant but EMA you have Jet2 and Baby increasing.

Therefore they might see things differently and fight fire with fire at
EMA and no need to do anything at BHX.

I would keep an eye on the booking engine.

EMA has a Faro based aircraft arrive on a Wed, which is extra to what was there a few weeks ago...

From what I can see, it doesn't look like they are cutting back, especially in the Canaries, LPA 2x Weekly, ACE 2x Weekly, TFS 3x Weekly < TFS has one extra flight compared to 2009

I think FR have seen the competition from WW and LS and are trying to match their expansion as well
