Great news for baby, the midlands carrier will be flying the Polish community of the midlands
Errr...
  • FR also flies "the Polish community of the midlands"; after all, FR does fly from EMA to KRK, POZ, and WRO.
  • W9 also flies "the Polish community of the midlands"; after all, W9 flies from CVT to both GDN and KTW.
So, WW's Polish routes will merely add to the Polish routes that already exist from EMA and CVT, although WAW and GDN will, of course, be new routes from EMA.

His post implied that WW will be the sole carrier between the Midlands and Poland - which of course won't be the case.

OK, I interpreted it in the way you didn't intend...

That's how I interpreted it. Goes to show that it's sometimes difficult to gauge a person's meaning, emotion, etc, online. ;-)

I'll be living near EMA next year.

Good news to see two new routes from EMA, are these being slotted into the existing timetable or are they coming at the expense of any existing services? The Poles aren't big spenders onboard, so hopefully the route will attract high yields. It would have been nice to see baby coming back to BCN, as the BHX route seemed to be doing quite well, but at least we have easyJet. Are we still expecting any news about a second Embraer?

Potentially at the expense of any of the Med routes, or by squeezing the timetable a bit like this summer on the days the IBZ route was operating. I don't think dumdum would disagree with that ... and nothing wrong with a bit of corporate pride, I wish I'd had it.

Is there any news on the note of all these new routes about further expanding the pier?

Med route? Like what? We always have good loads on the meds, okay, winter is quieter than summer, but if these Polish routes are yearly flights then how can we lose any Meds??

Hmmm..... will be interesting to see!

Well, I'm glad to see some expansion from WW, whether it is in FR territory or not. Thanks dumdum for the original info-you were obviously correct.

WW Poland

I copied out the baby winter schedule a few weeks ago for each base
and East Mids could fit in a daily day (10-16.00) flight no problem at all.

It should mean no cuts in winter but might need tweaking a bit in summer
but could easily be done by chopping one of the three BFS if they needed to go down that route.

I thought the rumour was "two routes" from "two bases", so where is the
other base? BHX - Gdansk Tu, Thu & Sat (would just fit)?
