Bye bye SYD, bye bye job....

They are really changing things.... but instead of closing down stations maybe look at other things....( we all know what!) or at least the alternatives eg BWNBNESYDBWN???

Wink Seat 1A?

Indeed, BWN/BNE/SYD/BWN or BWN/SYD/BNE/BWN. Why not? There was a flight BWN/BNE/SYD/BWN wasn't there? A great success too, I believe. 95% load factor? Wow............

Oh....Mr Seat 1A?

Aren't all the lease agreements with Airbus up for renewal this summer. Maybe this is why they are cutting routes all over the place. Your single B777 is listed as stored under regn V8RBV, but with no money in the bank, the likelyhood its going to go the same way as the other three.
I'm sad to see what was a great airline, falling down so quickly.

Royal Brunei

Hi,

I always recall that, in the old days (late 80s) RB used to be a good second to EK for flying back and forth from UK DXB UK.

Flying with them in a couple of weeks and wondering if anyone has any good/bad experiences that they would care to share?

Cheers

HR

J, LHR-(tr)DXB-BSB-Denpasar 1/08. Splendid. Dry, so sneak your tipple into hand bag, hosties look the other way when you top up.

Take your own IFE, most times it craps out, well it seems that way anyway. IF one TV goes out in a row, they have to re-set the entire row, so if you are watching something - tough.

NO alcohol served, but as tornadoken says - the hosties turn a blind eye if you top-up your own.

Sadly BI has gone downhill over the past few years, things are a bit long in the tooth now - I used to fly for them many moons ago but no more - dont touch them now - not even for positioning flights
