Problems and Summer 08

I think it is planned to Upgrade the Belt System over the winter to handle the increased capacity. Lets Hope that this summer has been a wake up call for security and they will be fully staffed and trained for summer 08. Also i believe (however have no source) that Jet2 will increase capcity next summer. Plus with all the extra Long Haul flights passenger numbers should not fall but hopefully stay around the same Level.

XL summer 2008

There are still a few gaps in the timetable.

Also libra still have flights on sale but with no airline yet to some of the greek flights still to be added.

hopefully a daily new york service would be nice resulting in 20 long haul flights per week.

CUN

I was wrong there does appear to be a fortnightly Monarch to CUN on Fridays as well as the weeklyThomsonfly, and a weekly Monarch POP service ( is the Monarch CUN inbound and outbound going via POP every other week ??)

MON CUN and POP flights summer 2008

Hi,

Both the POP and CUN flights appear to be fortnightly. The CUN flights operate inbound via POP to re-fuel. The POP flights are direct. The POP flights start 2nd May and the CUN flights start 9th May.

At the minute, only Thomas Cook have the seats for sale on the CUN route but I'm sure that Airtours will be helping to shift seats if necessary.

Thomsonfly Cancun goes via Manchester
Is that because the runway length is an issue, or is it simply just a split loader with Manchester???

On the website it says for refueling, but I think it must be a split loader because would they do a refueling at such an early stage??

Cheaper to refuel at MAN rather than somewhere in the US or Carribean?

757 Speed Brakes,

I belive one of there 757s rather poorly some where thus requireing the Use of AC yesterday. There were 2 Thomas Cook 757s at NCL today so im assumeing there useing free units from other bases and useing Jet2 when they have none free. Ah well must make a change for you guys.

The CUN flight must be a split load as the 767 can do this route without a tech/re-fuel stop especially now there are less seats onboard.

Thomsonfly CUN

Thomsonfly to CUN is not split with Manchester their Thomsonfly flight goes on Sat and Tue the NCL goes on Monday.
I understand its refueling at MAN outbound only due to runway issues at NCL. Non stop on return.
