XL base S08

wounder if XL will be flying some routes on behalf of JET2
it would then free up one of the 757's for some long haul routes!!

According to XL website, all flights have now been re-listed as XL operated flights. Appears KM will no longer base an aircraft and XL will operate all flights, using 1 based aircraft. Good news considering they were closing the base a few weeks ago!

Are FJE appearing again over the next few days?

I heard it's 'thats all folks' from FJE, from a dispatcher.

Silverjet have sold their 757's on to be changed into cargo config. for UPS (info. from Airliner World).

Shame, think Jet2 could of done with those but not sure how old they were and don't think they seemed v reliable!!

Speaking to a FJE captain last week who said both EA/EB are now in Southend being scrapped. I think it may just be storage before going to the US for cargo ops anyone confirm?

EZY6426 PMI-NCL canx due to tech problem today flight rescheduled for 0545z 11/10, A/C is G-EZJG dosnt affect any outbound EZY flights for 10/10.

Thumbs up Airliner World Nov'07

A snippet in an article from the above:

'BA dropped it's London/Gatwick - Newcastle route earlier this year and budget airline Jet2 has replaced the link. Although the latest traffic statistics show that the passenger numbers have declined considerably, yeilds are understood to be strong. "They will continue the route for certain" confirmed Chris Sanders.

The airline is also expected to announce a major expansion at the airport next year: sources suggest that alongside it's Boeing 737's and 757's, a new addition to its fleet - a B767 - could be based for services to Cancun, New York, Orlando and Toronto.'

Yes please!!

Is an announcement due soon about the new CEO?
Could a new vacancy at CWL for a replacement MD be significant?
