Top Gear
And the contract goes to................
Clarkson & Co.
Not only will they do the work in 1/2 the time but with added hilarity and sarcasm thrown in for free.
Sorry, couldn't resist, got the caption at the top of the forums telling me I haven't posted in a while.
All the best.

Ezy Mjv
What is the frequency of their new route? Doesn't yet appear on their website for booking, has it been officially announced? Bit of a surprise going head to head??!!

nclflights, LS actually dropping KRK from January !!. I think Easyjet will now put LS under pressure on possibly there most profitable route( MJV). Perhaps retaliation from when LS started Malaga and Palma head to head with them last summer. Easyjet probably the most likley to survive in the long run on head to head competition.

It's obvious that EasyJet are turning the screw on LS. They seem to be the biggest LoCo competition in town. They did exactly the same when FR and EI announced plans at Belfast. Planes taken from Newcastle and given to Belfast was a case of posturing - the population of NI and the NE are broadly similar as are economic demographics. EasyJet will announce more routes when Air Berlin and Wizz show their faces and might go head to head with one or two more with LS.

MJV isnt the most profitable for LS, i think you will find its the likes of PMI and TFS.
With easyjet operating twice daily with a 737 and Jet2 operating daily with a 757 and not to mention all the charters, Jet2s 757 was still full, as were all the other flights to PMI.
I dont think Easyjet competing on the MJV route will effect Jet2 to much.
From what I hear the KRK is only being suspended on a temp basis it will return, but with Jet2 now wanting to go down the charter and holiday package route I wouldnt be suprised it KRK goes.

Lets hope Jet2 haven't given up on expansion from NCL - they are a valuable addition to the route network, having added services to VLC, LEI, KRK, ORK etc. What will their route network consist of for S08 or is there more to come?
Summer 2008
Whilst there will be a drop in the number of routes and operators, hopefully passenger statistics should not be affected. The mergers of the charters will have an affect, but we are still going to see some new stuff:
TOM 763 to PUJ, CUN and SFB
EZY to MJV
WOW to NQY
Still good expansion, though quite sensibly done - slowly and steadily!
Some possibly wild ideas:

Some possibly wild ideas:
- EK to increase frequency on DXB 2/3 days per week
- MAD service
- The rumoured services by a loco to Germany?
re loco services to Germany, seems that HLX are using 737-800's on most HAJ services - anybody know if this is permanent, and if so is it due to loads or for fleet reasons?

Anyone remember what date the Airport authority usually release their summer 08 charter preview? Always interesting to take a look, especially this year with the mergers of the charter companies?!

Tower just told EXS 572 he was the last to be handled from the old tower.

Jet2 will NOT go head to head with EZ if they can help it. The last thing they want is a hostile take-over by EZ (share prices only 51p compared with 75p three months ago).
The MD for Jet2 has already stated that Jet2 will be moving away from the Low Cost market...............................
