The XL group of companies will not offer the same programme of flights to Canaries as last winter, which was operated by FJE. It obviously was not financially profitable to operate them and they seem to be down sizing their operation at NCL for the future too.

As for the locos, something new is a possibility, I am surprised at how much time the Jet2 a/c sit on the ground at NCL, there is ample room to add some new short haul routes. For the winter, I am thinking possibly SZG, INN, LYS for skiing? Maybe even the return of BUD and something like WAW from J2.

We could also see something new from EZY. Their frequency to PMI, ALC, AGP, FAO etc is always reduced for the winter, with NCE, IBZ and MAH stopping all together so plenty of capacity there. LTN is a strong contender for the rumoured domestic route, but what about LGW head to head with Jet2?

I'm surprised that you can't do NCL-GVA in the summer (or can you???)

Think this summer was the first without a GVA service for a few years - EZY have decided to make it winter only

Jet2 have just realeased 3x daily for winter ..... cant see BA coming back as they said they wernt making any money on it.

Speaking of Jet2, anyone know why there is a LS257 at 1800 from NCL to PMI?
LS257 is the LBA-PMI flight

Reading the recent posts I think there was a typing mix up between AMS and LGW during the exchanges and the speculation was really about Jet 2 coming off AMS and whether they or EZY would restart it. The June statistics seem to indicate that Jet 2 were carrying about 5,000 pax a month on the route.

I don't think there is any question at the moment of either Jet 2 coming off LGW or BA returning to the route.

Do they have more ground time, on the B737's, to protect their mail flights as these probably carry heavy penalties if delayed?

Ezy -winter

Looks like all EZY bases in Europe now on sale for winter 07, should we be worried. Also when you click on the winter link of the news page the link takes you to a page titled 'All winter flights now on sale'.

Does anyone know what is going on with EZY and why NCL winter flights not released?

Don't think Easyjet have released all of their UK flights yet by a long way. Today the website has announced the release of a few routes from BHX/GLA and EDI

All flights from all bases released, some several weeks ago, plus some new routes. However nothing from or to NCL.

Must admit I turned up at NCL at 05.45 fearing the worse , but breezed through security - all lanes open and NO queue at all.

If I'd have known I'd have had an extra half hour in bed.

It was like that yesterday afternoon and this afternoon... dead!!

The J2 Murcia route looks like its stopping for a few months over winter but it could also be to do slots being moved around X NCL, hence other flights not on sale yet - Dont know if that also is the same with easyjet.
J2 AGP will be staying though for winter... but unsure of timings as yet.
PMI/LEI/MAH/PSA/VLC will all end for winter. J2 still have 2 days unfilled on the 757... Wed and Sun... both well known as PFO or SSH days for charter airlines, anyone heard anything about them starting up?

Winter 07

Are Jet2 loads down as both PSA and Murcia were previously year round route?

As for the 757 gaps could this be for the twice weekly rumoured EWR route are has launch date on this one been put back to S08.

As for EZY if NCL not on sale soon then I think we need to start getting concerned that something major is happening at NCL with them and it aint on the positive front

Thanks
