EZY Delays at LTN tonight...
Anyone know why there are a number of easyJet delays this evening at LTN.? Many of them 2-3hrs late...

EZY2228 Alicante 22:45 Landed 00:04
EZY2128 Nice 23:00 Estimated 01:35
EZY2002 Athens 23:00 Estimated 00:20

Ryan have BZR, LDY, KUN, RZE, SZZ, TPS all bookable from LTN from the end of Oct. Most routes seem to operate two or three times a week. BGY seems to have gone for the winter .
Perhaps a Milan from easy might be possible, to fill the gap. The route carries some 15,000pax/month.

Great news to see some new routes from Ryanair...
I am hoping these new routes are not at the expense of other routes they operate and will be another 1-2 aircrafts based here!
Milan might return, most of the UK regional routes to Milan are operated by Bergamo based aircrafts and the LTN routes was one of the exceptions.
Over about the last 3-4 yrs FR has not grown at LTN, but continued to chop and change routes while other bases have seen growth and routes remain. Lets hope this is a change in the right direction.

I find it laughable how LTN-Derry will operate 4 times weekly, while EZY operate LTN-BFS 5-6 times daily. I would have thought this route could easily work daily or even twice daily.

Shannon based airframe to operate that route.
A few additional flights to Dublin per week.
Kerry up to 4 per week from 3.
Less Malta, Reus and Nimes.
No Brest or Milan.

Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today (5th June) announced its biggest ever single expansion, launching 12 new UK routes as part of a package of 40 new European routes for winter 2008. Londoners are set to enjoy 7 new low fare routes, from London Luton to Beziers, Derry, Kaunas, Rzeszow, Szczecin (Poland) and Trapani (Sicily)

Having departed through LTN yesterday early evening, I heard two different reasons for all the delays.
Whilst the end result of lengthy delays and backed up services was the same, some folks said that the check-in systems had failed and some that there was a power failure that caused them to go down. Anyone know which was correct?

The Thomson LTN to TLV - what a/c operate the route?? Their prices are very competitive but I cannot find out the a/c type. The fancy adverts for their revamped long haul do not apply to this one.

Irish regional airline Aer Arann carried a record 430k passengers during the first five months of 2008, 3.1% more than in the corresponding period of last year.
