Once a week from 21st April.

Not really earth-shattering. I wonder if it's just the redeployment of an existing aircraft from another route.

MUC

Noticed in the latest route launch from Easyjet that they still continue to say that they fly from Luton to Munich.
Does anybody know if it was planned and has now been dropped or is it still a viable possibility for 2012?

The main news item on Three Counties Radio this afternoon is that the Government is to provide £19m for the rebuilding of junction 10A of the M1, which will remove the roundabout at Kidney Wood and add an extra lane making a total of 3 in each direction up to Capability Green. This will allow the free flow of traffic at peak times up to the airport.

It is presenting itself as the closest airport to the Games after London City in Docklands. The two and a half million passengers passing through Luton next July and August will be able to use Javelin trains to the Olympic Park if they travel on to St Pancras.
Used the service on Saturday. Total travel time to Stratford International from Luton was under an hour. It was also under an hour coming back as the Olympic Stadium is only 6 minutes from St Pancras using the high speed rail link.

I've heard this too, rumours I have heard:

Dubrovnik and Split routes will be re-instated next summer, with a higher frequency increasing from three to five times weekly and instead of only running Mid-June to the end of August will run from late May through to the of September.

Zagreb, St Petersburg and a new base in Antalya created.

Not a hope in hell. The consultation report is not published until December then a planning application has to be submitted. Doubt it will started in 2012 and then will probably take 18 months to complete as there is a complex road layout to be built and a new road bridge under the M1 spur road to be constructed.

The removal of J10A will aid the re-developments on old Vauxhall land, with better road access the proposed move of Express Newspapers from Lower Thames also moves a step near. More local jobs.
Thus this Government funding it not just for the Airports benefit.

From Luton Borough Councils website - If the M1 Junction 10a improvements scheme is approved, work could begin in early 2013 and complete during 2014.

I remember when the A505 was upgraded and the new approach road was built into the airport. The council said it would take 18 months but it took nearly 3 years.
