Maglev Car for sale on eBay
Just watched on BBC Midlands Today that one of the Maglev cars is for sale on eBay with all proceeds going to charity. Apparently, car was dumped on some part of the airfield where a new hotel is under construction.
BTW, current bid when I last checked was £1020, buyer must collect.

Have you been told by Ryanair then or just another assumption from
the way it is shown in the booking engine?
BHX-MLA has not even started, why the heck would an airline start a
route in winter and before it commences, cut it after a few months.
They were perfectly happy to start it in winter with competition from
Air Malta but why would Ryanair not want to operate it themselves
in the higher-yielding summer months?
I suggest it is under review with a view to deciding which base it will
operate from.
I can be very cynical when it comes to Ryanair but even I can't even see them pulling a flight weeks after the competition announced that they were withdrawing.
You can never judge a route on winter bookings alone and I will be amazed if this is not re-instated at a later date.
It is not even like the Cyprus Airways loss where there is plenty of IT flights as an alternative, Malta has just one IT in summer 2010 and that was a 738.

Incident
PK has just been on BBC 1 local news and it will be 6am tomorrow before the airport opens - that is the earliest apparently.
There might be some good news re the organ, as it was recovered from the crash site and given a Police escort to a local hospital. Hopefully it will still be in a condition where it will still be able to be used.
The vis dropped so quickly where I live (about 4 miles west) and it was no surprise that the Helimed chopper had trouble getting in to help with the rescue.
Best wishes to the crew.

Opening
Is is clear from the circumstances of this tragic incident that there will be an extended closure ala the Canadair that crashed a few years ago.
Not a lot of investigation will take place in the dark.
A realistic opening time would be better published.

Open
BHX open 11.59 with Aer Lingus 266 number 1, a 321 and Turkish 73W
number 2 and Continental 26 number 3.
Not heard an update on the crew but the liver transplant went well per a news report, which is a glimmer of good news thus far from this incident.
