AGM Announcement

Dart Group plc is pleased to announce that all of the ordinary and special
resolutions were approved at today's Annual General Meeting.

Commenting on current trading, Philip Meeson, Chairman and Chief Executive,
said 'Turnover in both Jet2.com and Fowler Welch-Coolchain, the Group's
principal trading companies, has been at record levels in the first four
months of the year. This has been achieved in part at the expense of margins; with overall performance broadly satisfactory in competitive market
conditions.'

**************

The terms "Boeing" and "767" are noteable by their absence. Nothing in statute that they have to announce such developments unless they believe it would have a material impact on the trading results of the business.

Translates to me as 'busy but expensive 4 months'

I sold my shares as soon as the leased aircraft for the season was on the cards.

Question

So, does anyone know how long Jet2 have leased the 32 year old B737-200 from EAF ? Suppose it can't be that long as its C of A expires in 14 weeks according to the CAA web site.

It is not from a credible source i'm afraid but I have heard several other people saying the same so who knows

One thing that we're all thinking is that if Jet2 do get 767's they will go into long haul, honestly I don't think this is going to happen (for a while atleast) so I guess if they do get 767's then it will be high density AGP, ALC, PMI, SSH etc etc this would prob be more realistic for Jet2, as getting a 767-200ER/300ER in suitable condition with the correct engines for long haul may be hard to find whereas there are loads of -200s sat in the deserts in the US which would be right up their street for short haul ops.

What's the avg. time for a rumor to become fact?

I remember hearing the rumors about the 3 ex - china 75's about October and think they turned up around March / April time?
Well I remember the worst kept secret was the LPA route from LBA, that rumour had been going for ages. Alas it eventually happened

Freight doggy... chill out a bit... was only kidding! and yes it may be profitable.... but as the one on the customer facing front line who has to work in the cabin of these "profitable yet butchered" QCs.... they are not always nice, usually loud and a bit nippy at the front of the cabin. If they are not looked after carefully they also look a bit battered and we are the one who take the comments from the passengers... when i look at our QCs i understand were easyjet got their "18yr old aircraft" comment from.
757s and non QC 737s are fine!

Yes, Ive sat in an Jet2 733 QC, near the cargo door. Freezing cold & noisy - no comparison to a lovely EZY A319
Did a 757 outbound from Newcastle div into Manchester today enroute to Krakow?

I think you'll find that if EZY does happen to divert that the passengers and crew are looked after and given all the help they require!!

Examples?

Coaches or taxis would be provided back to the original destination and other expenses are often refunded ....................

In the later stages of this thread you will note that some posts have been deleted.

That is what happens to childish unfunny posts.

Either be sensible or don't post.

ezyBoh - airlines are meant to do that duty of care (EC legislation) and therefore you will find many other airlines do that (BE for example)

I'm guessing for the summer 08?

SSH will probably come with that? LBA and NCL? Surely too much competition at MAN.

Why cant jet2 do flights to pakistan or india? there is a big untapped market for that, look at the load factors that airline had when they started up flights from leeds , the flights were booked up 3 - 4 months in advance.

The demand was there why not go for it ???

I'm guessing you mean with the 762s?

It could be a possible market, but Pakistan is served HEAVILY from MAN with AirBlue and PIA operating using it as it's European hub.

India could definately be a new market. MAN currently is not served by airlines such as Air India or Jet Airways but if they are to get into that sort of market they would have to do it soon before one of these airlines looks at MAN.

Very good ideas though!
