Flew from Cork on Wednesday evening, thought it was a great airport!
Security was quiet and I was through in under a minute.

Cityjet LCY

According to UK CAA data, LCY-ORK had 6,143 passengers in October (41% load factor in case no flights have been cancelled) - low load factor considering the low fares being offered and talks about a forth frequency.

Poor mornings departure times didn't kick in until winter schedule so think November will see an improvement.

Overall LON traffic is up just over 12,600 compared to last year.

I see that Cork recorded its first monthly increase in passengers in 29 months (May 2013) last month with a 3.5% increase compared to October 2014. Is this finally the turning point with numbers bottoming out in 2015 and growing next year?

another great news story for Cork - the new routes and indeed carriers are most welcome - would expect Ryanair to make a signficant announcement at some stage - they wont want to see all these carriers eating into their market share on their homepatch - well done to cork management and all involved

Will this be sold through the Aer Lingus website too?

Given the timings aren't great for connections, I can see this needing all the marketing help it can get.

It's only 32 return flights, they would be filled with Spanish students on summer courses.

Are they the only flights offering business class to Cork?
