I guess you will be right, although I wonder if it will be BCN-ORK-BOS-ORK-BCN, at least until New York comes on-line, they haven't said anything about 'basing' an aircraft at Cork, I don't think?
European crew require a visa to enter the US. The last thing Norwegian will want to do is arrange visas for a small number of BCN based crew to operate this route

Norwegian currently employ over 350 US based cabin crew. The crew are based at FLL and JFK and currently operate all Norwegians flights to and from the US. Was talking to one of there JFK crew last month and she said that crew based in JFK are going to be trained on the 737 in the very near future. So I think it is more likely they will operate the BOS and BCN based crew will operate the BCN using two different aircraft.

I hadn't realised that Norwegian had US based crews, you're probably right about them operating. Do Norwegian have some flights to the Caribbean too from the US? How do they have rights to fly them?

Great to see cityJet and LCY on the departure boards today. It's been a long time coming. ORK should be pleased with their performance adding WX and BE this year, Norwegian looking good for next. I wonder if CSA might come back next year too, the LPL-Prague is bookable.

I believe their Caribbean destinations are Martinique and Guadeloupe (i.e. in the EU), so the same rules that let them fly to Ireland apply.

Ah, very clever. Now that you jog my memory I think Air France have a few A320s based there too. I think Iberia used to have Miami based A319s for a while too, flying into South America (I think Iberia had 5th Freedom rights, rather than serving EU destinations)

Looking at the BOS schedules for LGW, OSL and CPH, definitely looks like it'll be a Boston based Norwegian crew.

CAA (UK) stats for October should be out mid to end of November so a baseline will begin to be established then. I don't think much cane be drawn until the schedule change later on the year.

Are cityJet using the airbridge, or even tending to operate predominantly from a dedicated gate?

I think Gate 4 was in use for its first day of operation, it actually took the ground crew a few attempts to line the stairs up properly on arrival. Aer Lingus were using the airbridge for much of the day, especially for the LHR flights. EI722 was boarding via the airbridge as my CityJet flight pushed back.

I don't know how much can be read into the loads on the first few days considering the number of journalists who seemed to get freebies, the Ireland-Italy match that was played at the Olympic stadium and the fact that it has been around a weekend.

It will be the November figures when those of us who don't have access to data from the airline can start to get a real feel for it.

But even if the passenger numbers and load factor are looking ok, the big question will be how high the average fare is. Considering a small aircraft and operating to/from LCY the fares are quite low, even on the short-term.

Indeed, I've used it twice now and loads were healthy but most of us must be paying the "lure them in" introductory fares. If you are P2P, it's a fantastic new alternative and I know that there are already a number of repeat bookings (mine included) based on initial experience of using both LCY and WX (from wheels down at LCY to Central London was WAAY quicker than the schlep from plane to train and journey from STN/LGW/LHR). I too wonder if the book ahead fares will start to increase? Anyway, for the moment, a fab addition to LON/ORK and fingers crossed for them - they certainly have my repeat business

Paris is up from 7 to 9 a week, which is long overdue considering the summer yields on that route.

Other routes have apparently seen some increase as well, but I don't see anything definite.

Unhappy Cannot see any increased frequencies only decreased

Daily FAO rotation bookable no different to summer 2015, just different departure times 06:00 most days. And AGP is gone from 8 rotations in summer 2015 to 7 from summer 2016 again at different departure times 10:50/11:25 similar to FAO summer 2015. There was 2 flights every Saturday which is now not the case is it just they are not loaded onto the system yet or is it false advertising?

Extra's are not loaded and they have an extended season for 2016 which are loaded. As for advertising, they are not advertising anything yet.

It was on their twitter account and its linked to a blog regarding increased services to Faro and Malaga. The other twitter feed was about Belfast increased frequencies.
