What is it with the mod's deleting comments on this site? Are you guys taking it upon yourselves to dictate free-speech?
Because it is a mods function to do so. Considering the high horse you've been up on I'm not surprised.

High horse? Most probably because I tell it like it is and don't troll behind a computer all day spouting fiction.

So the second based Ryanair will be here from November. Will they still bring another aircraft for June, July and August? Be great to see 3 based aircraft!

Plan is to have two based aircraft. Some Polish flights and some Sun flights will be operated from non-Irish bases. In total Ryanair will have the equivalent of 4 aircraft based at Cork for the Summer peak.

DAA also reviewing work practices, pay levels, operating costs etc. Hopefully all the emphasis won't be on cutbacks. The DAA must also look at ways of growing traffic at the airport as a means of boosting revenue.

Mabye becasue its a profitable...and there have being jobs losses over the last few years there.

Do we know if reduced operating hours is being considered even if it closes from 00.30-4.30 everyday it would help things.

It's as if people live in their own bubble in cork, only them taking any pain. No job losses in Dublin - you're having a laugh. Shannon and Dublin are much smaller business units staff wise than they were three years ago.

24hour opening at Cork

The decision to introduce 24 hour opening at Cork was always a bit of a mystery given that it had no flights between midnight and 0600 and no real interest in catering for freight flights or transit traffic. It could come under serious scrutiny now but there'll be no going back to double time after midnight and other such practices that existed for late opening in the good old days!

How many of the CAA board are full time employees? Great to see the bubble continues.

To be independent, Cork needs to be viable, so the choice is there...

Cabincrew, why do you say that...NOC is not part of DAA family of airports and has to pay for itself for the most part...
