Surely, that was the father (who retired to be a hotelier)?

Is the son not considerably younger?

It would seem to me that the growth seems to have come to a halt at around the same time that Vancouver/Vantage took over from Peel. Perhaps that's a coincidence of bad timing; or perhaps not? Did Peel see something coming?

In addition - and possibly related, some of the key members of the management team that successfully built the airport up seem to have gone their separate ways. I see Neil Pakey left Vantage recently and Andy Gower went a year ago.

Glad to see the administrator put an end to this unnecessary negativism.
Three positive cheers for an airport striving to do well and making a positive contribution via its 5 million+ passsengers.

Well done LJLA

Balanced seems fine to me--I prefer to look on the positive side where possible
Its better than the juvenile sniping that I have so far seen on parts of this forum--well done administrator for keeping it under control and well done again LJLA for your progress and your persistance agaunst all the odds and inaccurate reports of your untimely end.LOL

Just one last chance. You play by OUR rules not your own. Making them up as you go along is also not ever going to be accepted.

Take a breather for a few days, reflect and decide if you want PPRuNe while we decide if we want YOU. Two have already gone.

OK. The thread is open again but only for those who abide by the rules, which are not stringent but are designed to keep people from abusing PPRuNe and each other - some people have been banned and that will continue if anyone gets silly. Keep to the topic and please leave it at that.

Can't put it any plainer than that so enjoy.

cu nim

Jet2 and spotty m big wigs where in Liverpool a few weeks ago
Posibly one or both of those
I wonder cu nim, how anybody knows that Jet2 and Spotty M where in Liverpool a few weeks ago.

It has crossed my mind about Jet2, but with bases at MAN and BLK, that might not be probable.

I just wonder how anyone knows when airlines are in town, I have read the same on other threads.

Call me cynical if you wish, however it has crossed my mind some of these posts are fishing exercises to see if it gets other people to comment and give information.

I recall on other posts seeing ' an announcement is due shortly' then you get a parade of it could be so and so or so and so etc.

Weird when certain airports are mentioned its ridiculed and but when other airports are named is highly believable.

I wasnt ridiculing anyone, was making an observation which is true not just in regard to Liverpool.

I hope there are new announcements soon.

I wasnt pointing at you in particular.

But saying 'is true not just in regard to Liverpool' is logically the same, until it happens, for any airport you can a name.

A few more views being aired on the Liverpool thread, now that NWAN have shut down their forum after it was deemed there was to much arguing going on, tend not to visit Nwan as much now, fairly dull without the forum.

Of course it isn't weird.

Certain airports have greater chance of attracting new routes or airlines than others.

Throw into the pot the collective wealth of knowledge and experience from the industry professionals on this site who respond to these rumours, and you'll get a pretty good indication as to how plausible each "rumour" is every time.

Has NWAN closed down or has just the forum gone? I found personally people got too blind drunk on their own hopes and wishes in there; always ended in tears.
