The extension to security and the level 3 departure areas are scheduled to be completed mid November. However you can never say there is no more building work to be done as improvements to the arrivals hall is on the cards.

Out of Liverpool to Malaga and back in the summer. Have to say I was impressed with the speed of getting through security etc, even though the place was a building site at the time.

Particularly good on returning to Liverpool. A family of 4, and we were through passport control, had collected the baggage and the car and were on the road out of the airport within 30 minutes of landing. Hard to beat I would think.

Give the place the credit it deserves, it seems to me. Probably a clue here as to why passenger numbers continue to rise.

In addition to the new EZY Liverpool routes of Lyon, Grenoble, Tallinn and Brussels the airline is quoted as being another - 'including a new route to Gibraltar which it is set to announce'.

will be interesting to see what the frequency will run this at and what the effect on MAN-GIB will be.
It bet many of the MAN-GIB pax come from the LPL area, otherwise Easy would run it from this end. Also I think EZY will have more staying power than MON too.

Good news for LPL though.

It was initially to be a MAN route but no space in the schedule after MAN-PMI which is supposed to be announced soon.

Aircraft number 6 will be in MAN in time for the start of the Summer but used for frequency increases/seasonal routes. Remember that CFU, HER, DLM etc will be making a come back and MAN takes over all of the AMS rotations.

According to someone from "commericial" there is only space for one new route, that being PMI. That would indicate that the 7th aircraft won't be next Summer. Promotions, base transfers and brand new recruits planned do, IMO, seem more tham required for 6 aircraft but thats my opinion. It certainly lends it's hand to the EMA rumour and the suggestion that MAN crews will be operating these. We're getting into pure speculation there though.

Did I read correctly that all LPL - AMS traffic is going to be moving to MAN? That's a terrible blow as I often use that.

Liverpool

No, I think what easyflyer83 was referring to was that AMS flights will operate MAN-AMS-MAN using MAN-based aircraft rather than being operated AMS-MAN-AMS?

Yes sorry, I meant that MAN will take over all of it's AMS rotations. i.e the Evening flight that is currently operated by BFS. BFS-AMS-MAN-AMS-BFS.
