Will Eastern price these flights to SOU with Flymaybe in mind having pretty good deals out of Manch? They are not the cheapest outfit to fly with? Great for EZE and Liverpool though.

Looking at what prices they have on their website I assume they will be taking little notice of BE's prices!

Summer of fun

Could be an interesting summer at LPL servisair loaders talking about strike action, due to servisair wanting to cut 24 jobs among ramp staff approx 22% of workforce (even though they tupeed most of them across in April from peel),all in the name of profit so I hear .So if anyone who travels with Ryanair.Flybe,Wizzair,Thompson or Onurair this summer and has to wait for their bags to be loaded or unloaded please don't shout at the loaders cos it wont be their fault, blame management of servisair who only see profit and not service

Security aren't to happy either

Ryanair are dropping the Manchester to Shannon service from the end of October and transferring the frequencies to Liverpool to make the Liverpool to Shannon service a Daily operation once again.

The airline is also expected to announce new routes from Liverpool to both Lanzarote (in competition with the newly announced easyJet service) and Las Palmas tomorrow.

Will the new LPL flights be LPL based a/c? Seeing as SNN is losing aircraft this winter.

Cannot see both U2 and FR lasting on the ACE route.

At today's Press Conference held in Liverpool Ryanair announced for the winter:

Bratislava - 3 per week
Arrecife - 2 per week
Las Palmas - 2 per week
Rzeszow - 2 per week
and Faro - 3 per week

Also referred to increased frequencies on Alicante, Belfast City, and retaining Kaunas and others for the winter.

The Canaries announcement has already been posted

No references to some of the previous information posted (Shannon frequency etc), when questioned the Ryanair representative stated that they are still finalising the winter schedules.

The fact that AENA the Spanish airports authority are prepared to allow no airport charges (dues) is central to the Ryanair strategy

Confirmed 7 aircraft based at LPL for the winter

On the other hand, local media is reporting that there will be no increase in based numbers.

Question

Good to see BHD up from 2x to 3x daily. It would appear that timings might need adjusting as I did a spot check outbound from LPL on the 04/12 and it shows two departures one at 1110 and another at 1125 which can't be right, can it?

dwlpl, local press doesn't mention anything about "no increase in capacity". It (the Liverpool Daily Post anyway) quotes the Ryanair rep as saying the airline will be "maintaining our full capacity in Liverpool". True, that's currently 6 a/c but that is a reduction from the previous compliment of 7 a/c. Schedules do suggest that a 7th aircraft is required for next winter.

ALLMCC there is one day where there are two very closely spaced departures, one using a LPL-based aircraft, the other a BHD aircraft.

BBC Radio Merseyside this morning said that the new routes will not bring in more based aircraft from Ryanair.
