JS deceiving his employees.

It is already clear that Euromanx is ceasing to be some time during the next few days. Why can't JS at this late stage tell the employees so that they can start to find alternative employment. With a CEO position comes the responsibility of care and fairness to the employed staff. He has ignored his obligations and very dishonorably thinking in his own Aussie mentality that only his convenience is of any importance.

Through your selfishness, you've focussed on looking after your own position and not looking after your employees or the company development. Are you really going to piss off to Oz with no conscience with a big payout stuffed into your back pocket and leave us all high and dry!?!?!?

You need to grow a backbone and tell the staff before they read it in the Manx press.

Grow a spine and finally tell everyone whether the jobs will be continuing so that they can plan ahead financially.

You have a deep and inescapable responsibility to start speaking directly and honestly about the company's future.

You can run back to Oz but the betrayal you are perpetrating on the good bunch of hardworking employees won't go away Seymour no matter where you run to.

Todays flights combined too.

The Aurigny 'Air Wales' ATR that was here last week is now working for Aer Arran.

Second DHC8 goes at the end of this week according to an EMX pilot.

Why is it clear?

There is no metion of Euromanx canceling all ops in either of these links.

Second DHC8 goes at the end of this week according to an EMX pilot.
'Goes' for its C check, BB went and came back didnt it?

All to much hear say and rumours surrounding Euromanx atm.

2 and a half hour delay, Euromanx's record out of Manchester is second to none, and one delay makes the headlines! All beacuse there only aircraft dont have maintence problems, its the a/c they brought in.

Are any of you aware that Euromanx started without any of there only planes? Maybe there going back to leasing "Local" aircraft instead of ones from Austria?

Until you cant book a flight anymore with euromanx good luck to all there staff and people who handle them.

Techproblem

With one aircraft away for maintenence EMX are operating their LPL and MAN rotations with the Aer Arran ATR72 flying IOM-LPL-MAN-IOM. Not that much different to BE's operation a few weeks ago (due to tech problems/missing crew etc).

However to enable them to do this they are combining two LPL's and two MAN's into one trip a couple of times a day. That means they are putting pax for four flights onto one aircraft (albeit a 72 seater). That suggests to me they are seriously down on pax bookings, otherwise they wouldn't be able to cram those travelling on one plane.

You say BB came back. Nope - that's the one supposed to be going for maintenance end of this week, if other posters are to be believed. BC is away at the moment.

However inconvenient these tactics are for pax, they are not the actions one would expect to see if the airline was heading into financial difficulties. Whilst I'm not suggesting for one minute there is a problem, I'm sure the directors are aware of their responsibilities and would not consider trading while insolvent. They would thus not condone the taking of bookings, or incurring costs such as aircraft leasing if they did not have any hope of operating or paying the bills.

What they are doing though is encouraging the paying public to go elsewhere if they want a reliable service. BE had this problem last year and EMX did well as a result. This year the boot is on the other foot.

Whatever the reason for the disruption, they are going to have to do a heck of a lot to encourage Joe Public back.

Tech Prob - the Manx Radio link does say that the Airline are unable or unwilling to confirm the continuation of the operation.

Despite all of the rumours, (some which I know to be true), it is this silence coming from the high offices in EMX, which in my humble opinion, is the biggest indicator of where things are heading. If you had an airline that was being severely damaged by stories of impending doom, wouldn't you put the record straight ??.

As someone with no relation to IOM or EMX, I am inclined to agree with other posters on this topic and as a passenger I would be tempted to book elsewhere.

Techproblem,

What needs to be considered is that no one from EMX is defending the company. If the airline I worked for was to come under such adverse publicity they would be the first to pipe up and put people right (Ie they are contining to operate) This has not been the case and it does make one wonder why.

Out of interest how long do these aircraft checks take? There has been a EMX aircraft parked outside Flybe's hangar in Exeter for a week if not longer doing nothing. Surly with limited aircraft EMX would want the aircraft up and running asap (thats if of course they intend to return it to operations)

Fever Pitch

Well its all comming to a head now, will they, wont they.

What an absolute shambles from Directors to the CEO to the management team running this airline. You should all be named and shamed for your part in this PR disaster. What a sorry bunch you are, in fact even I'm feeling sorry, that you dont seem to possess the management skills to relay bad news never mind good news.

Good luck again to all the decnt people who have slogged their guts out for a company with such management. YOUR DESERVE BETTER

Well the airport director has stated it is due to aircraft maintenance. I would have thought it would be prudent on her part to pass all press questions onto EMX themselves. They have (had?) a Marketing manager after all.

If that is the case then why the heck do they not come out with a press statement quashing once and for all the rumours. Until things become much clearer there is absolutely no way I will be booking any forward travel with them.

My thoughts are with the hard working staff who are being s on from a great height

EMX the sad end of a Airline

Evening all

I'm so sorry for all the hard working staff but, I know that the other Dash is due to fly to exeter on saturday afternoon. Air Gadon have been to Exeter this week.

So I think the 11 May just might be the last day for flights

As travelwatch say and other people on this Thread have said Euromanx management are as quiet as church mice.

Are they trying to leave the country and leave the lights on

It gets stranger and more intriguing by the day. BB must be getting near to check time. Once that goes at the weekend then LCY operations are in the . so with the dashs gone what do the crew operate..... Certain person from a certain Irish ATR operator rumoured to have been in IOM yesterday meeting government officails.... A return of RE??

HAC, looks like i got BB and BC mixed up, also thought that BB had already been and come back.

Well since my post there have been a few more revlations (Air Gabon), so what seemed to be a good little airline has been pushed out by a bigger player once more

Probably under instructions to go quickly lest IOM Airport slap a writ for any unpaid landing fees on him....

A really sad time for all those who worked for EMX - thank you for looking after us, and good luck to you all.

FlyBe to the rescue...........

FlyBe (!!!) have announced on their website that Euromanx have gone into receivership and are offering a rescue package for impacted passengers

http://www.flybe.com/news/0805/09.htm

Clearly FlyBe knew what was going to happen and when, so it an outrage that EMX were still taking bookings and money at 11pm last night. (I didn't book, just checked out the website).
