BGY-PIK and BGY-LBC are already on sale for summer 2007 season both 4x week.

Is that confirmed or speculation? I know of at least 2 UK-MAD routes to be announced tomorrow.

Im just guessing on NCL but it's not served by anybody yet and ryanair are looking at routes into the north east so they should get in quick as i think it would be a real winner for them before jet2 or easyjet start it

Hi,

Yes, that's very true, but it doesn't mean that the frequencies won't change. It's happened before ...

The same applies to HHN - PSR, AHO, MPL and FRL (every Summer so far these routes have been daily).

New MAD route

If I worked for route planning at RYR, I would begin a MAD base with,
TFN, FUE, SNN, HHN, LPL, BRE, BGY or CIA, MLA, FEZ or RAK, now the problem comes with a London route, do I use STN, no route at this time to MAD or do I go head to head with EZY and at LTN and try and push them out or LTN then move on pushing them out of MAD.

I shouldn't think so. The image is clearly not an 'official' FR piece of merchandising. The cheatline is totally wrong and the typeface is innacurate. I suspect that the airport had this sinage done up, and it was cheaper to photoshop a graphic than to insert a photo....that or FR wanted payment for the usage of 'official' imagery!

My overriding feeling is no. Despite this article( http://www.canarias7.es/articulo.cfm?Id=30197 dated last July) that says: "Ryanair ha pedido una barbaridad de slots para unir Madrid con Canarias." Translation: Ryanair has applied for multitude of slots between Madrid and the Canaries.

A more recent article ( http://www.canarias7.es/articulo.cfm?Id=36501 dated last week) speaks of a tourism official in Gran Canaria who is critical of Ryanair's decision not to fly there. There is a suggestion that the same tourism official is however glad that LPA didn't agree to the super low charges that FR were asking for.

True, TOM has gone doen since the good old Brittanai days. Though Ryanair arent really that much better and TOM goes from different/more destinations. Oh and a nescesary evil to get from grumpy, cold, misrable, wet, dingy UK (rant over) to the butiful son.

Madrid press conference

So assuming that MoL is in Madrid right now, I'd be curious to know how he travelled there:
DUB - STN/CRL - VLL + Hertz rent-a-car to MAD?
Or with EI or IB from DUB - MAD?
