Yes these been a few cancelled flights on the LBA-SOU & LBA-ABZ routes. But also seen quite a few flights been operated by the Saab 2000's instead of the scheduled BAe Jetstream 41's.

And another cancellation for Wick. Going to stop posting now: just had no idea this airline was so unreliable!

Eastern Airways flights are going to be sold and marketed by Flybe from end of October, according to an article in the John O'Groat Journal. The article is not online, but describes the Wick - Aberdeen route as 'fragile'. I'll say!

Eastern have accepted my EU 261 claim, so €250 coming my way.

They offered a free return flight on same route, but since they've cancelled a flight every day on the route I declined.

PS - As Eastern have no info on their site about EU261, I used the free service from Resolver.

The whole Eastern/flybe agreement will be a disaster.

Eastern do not have the crew to do it. Why?

You treated crews like sh&t. outstandingly poor leadership over the years. Even Bristow's have seem to have given up. A commercial department that needs to be sectioned.

A criminal philosophy of 'f&ck you, there are no jobs out there, so if you don't like it, f$ck off'. Quote from CP

You just lost £3.3m.

Try looking after your employees. They are the most valuable asset to a company.

Management morons.

It's almost as if he should've checked whether the things can actually fly themselves before opening his mouth.

The DFO is the only good manager there. The rest are clowns who are not funny, which ironically is sad

Its a shame there was/is no competence, ability or vision to build on the qualities of its employees. As cabsav says, now they've lost millions. I wonder how much of that is attributed to staffing levels.
Terribly poor company philosophy and hopelessly incompetent managers does not make for success.

Crewing Issues

I should think EA have many crewing issues. I left Huxford/Lake and their merry men earlier this year, never met any crew that had a good word to say about the company.

It could have have been a great friendly little airline to work for. It was a brilliant team atmosphere among the crews.

I still miss the people, the variety of work and the Saab.
But with no pension (to speak of) and general poor re-active nature and uncertain future, I felt I had to go.
And I hear Bristows have plans for the company, which may not be in everyone's interest.

HUY Routes?

I have a question, I am wondering why Eastern Airways do not have more routes from HUY.
' their hub/base '.

While I understand they've had to hire an extra aircraft but I wonder what other routes much Eastern provide.

For example Southampton to meet the Cruise liners.
Or EDI/GLA/BHD/IOM.

All unserved from West of THE A1.

Because Grimsby is more famous for fish than for air travel!

Humberside is very close to Doncaster, which serves less North Sea. I think the glory days of Humberside finished when Doncaster opened!

More routes from HUY.....

Quite right harry, that and an incompetent marketing team. Be interesting to see what plans Mr Bristow has for Humberside.
