Don't they teach you in Flight Attendant 101 to disarm the slide before opening the door?
Interestingly enough, this is the only delay GSM has had through SFB except for the terrorist plot disruption in London. Amazing how an airline with only 1 long haul aircraft can do daily flights over the pond and go almost 4 months with only 1 delay.

Anyone can make a mistake jet_stream.
If proven that the individual made an honest mistake, then no repurcussions should be enforced.
Anyway, this situation shall not be discussed on a public forum.

Yes but a crew member who is on probation...that's a different story....and for 2 crew members to make a mistake at the same time is unacceptable. Remember this slide blew onto an airbridge with ground personel on it.

That changes the situation indeed and is not something I expect from our well-trained and very competent cabin-crew.
I am sure that the new CC Manager will make a wise decision. (what a way to start!)
