Amidst the results announcement by Flybe, local BBC carried part of comments made by Mike Rutter, confirming (again?) that the airline were interested in expanding at ABZ & hoped to announce new routes "in the near future" as he put it.
The BBC report in the lead up to Rutter's comments mentioned MAN, CDG & DUS, although he himself was not carried in the report mentioning any routes.
Mike Rutter was carried reporting that Flybe were pleased with the performance of ABZ (NCL route excepted) & that they had "turned around" the LGW route that they took over from BA.
Now comes the hard part...talking to BAA Aberdeen...

Same source carried more with Mike Rutter, who this time was quoted:
MAN
NCL
LBA
NWI
FRA
DUS
CDG
etc
We'll see if Flybe start/reintroduce any of these "in the near future" as he put it.
ABZ though is not immune from cutbacks elsewhere, & another being reported in the Easyjet thread is LTN down to daily only for winter - not sure if that's all winter or part of.

So the "ABZ newsletter" has the Flybe story as its main lead. Certainly mentions Germany, but also south of France (then again I've read that somewhere before).
No mention of Scatsta though. Aren't Eastern doing that?
Claims of "four or five" more planes based at ABZ beyond the one currently here to do the LGW.
"Could" lead to ~100 new jobs.
Quotes Mike Rutter as saying the company plan to invest "£160m" in the region following talks with BAA ABZ.
We shall see.
The report also talks about Flyglobespan's recent announcements, but again claims "more routes are imminent"???
We shall see II.
