I have, but the closure and redundancy details on that thread are, at the moment, speculation.

Geneva

As we know EZS went to twice weekly on Geneva this winter - new Wednesday rotation.

Doesn't look like it's going very well. Tomorrow, 22, yes, 22 pax outbound. From what I'm told this is not the exception either. The Saturday rotation continues to do reasonably well.

For reference, December figures were (including first couple of inbounds):

1,151 - 82 pax - 53% load average

I wonder how many PAX were flight only, and how many were packages booked by a ski holiday company. It may be that they are paying upfront, and flight only PAX are a bonus.

Welcome news from Thomson, assuming the demand is there. Not the first time holiday flights have been canned nearer the time through lack of bookings, but that isn't unique to here of course.

Do we know what metal Thomson will be using this year? They're using their own (B738) for the winter flights but I would imagine that will change in the summer season.

Am I missing something here?

Same destinations and equipment (ASL B737-700) as the previous two years operation with based aircraft. Only difference this year is that Dalaman is on a Turkish carrier again.

Missing destinations form that list include LPA, TFS and DLM

Is it that Thomson are basing their own aircraft for Summer 2017 (Tenerife not included as it's continuation of the Winter service, and Dalaman being operated on Turkish based aircraft, not sure about Las Palmas ???)

It also shows on the new routes for the airline a number of services from Norwich which have previously operated on a based Germania aircraft which is changing to Thomson's own aircraft for Summer 2017

The ASL 737-700 is operating again:
Monday Las Palmas
Tuesday Palma w Glasgow
Wednesday Ibiza w Glasgow
Thursday Faro w Glasgow
Friday Corfu / Palma
Saturday Palma w Glasgow / Palma overnight
Sunday Tenerife

Most of the season length extensions have been planned for quite some time, CFU and PMI on Tue/Fri/Sat to tie in with Thomson cruise ship ops.

Malta and Krakow seem slightly bizarre foci of interest out of all the destinations currently unserved....

Terminal redevelopment latest

Local press has a 'catch-up'

https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/...rs-completion/

I do recall Malta being served before using Air Malta for the IT flights.

Good to see comments on reaching out to inbound tourism as I often wonder how aggressively the area is marketed for tourists, especially now as hotel prices have dropped & no. of available rooms increased with more hotels coming on line.

The city may not have much to offer, but the 'shire does.

Any idea why there was a Titan 767 on the Heathrow service today?

Watched it on the climb out from R16 on its return leg. The Titan B767 has subbed on occasion on the LHRABZ flight. Could just be a sub for a sick or late-running plane, but there was a subsea conference last week here, so could I suppose be demand-related.

Edit: And the next BA flight 1314 is using a TCX A321.

First four flights looking well loaded although I did note some pretty heavy price stimulation in the last couple of weeks.

Winter schedule not confirmed yet but expected to be firmed up before the end of march for all 3 routes.
